Responsibilities
Our OccupationalTherapists/OTs help patients who have debilitating conditions improve the functions of performing everyday tasks in the home. OccupationalTherapists/OTs use treatments to develop the daily living skills of their patients and the basic motor functions of patients, as well as to compensate for any loss of function that patient may be experiencing. OccupationalTherapists/OTs administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services and teach the family and other members of the health care team. These services are performed by OccupationalTherapists/OTs in accordance with the physicians' orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
Qualifications
OccupationalTherapists/OTs must meet the following requirements:
Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy and licensed as an OccupationalTherapist/OT in the state in which he/she currently practices.
A minimum of one-year experience is preferred, but can be less with Regional Vice Presidentand/or Regional Director of Therapy Servicesapproval based on prior experience setting.
Medicare home health experience is preferred.

The OccupationalTherapist (OTR) (IP/OP) delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes in an IP/OP setting. The OTR implements the treatment program and reassesses treatment results. The OTR is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy.
Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including the patient and significant others. These services are delivered in compliance with CommonSpirit, St. Joseph's mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Our OccupationalTherapists/OTs help patients who have debilitating conditions improve the functions of performing everyday tasks in the home. OccupationalTherapists/OTs use treatments to develop the daily living skills of their patients and the basic motor functions of patients, as well as to compensate for any loss of function that patient may be experiencing. Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following

1. Provide services in speech pathology or audiology in accordance with the physicians plan of

2. Assist the physician in assessing the clients level of functioning and the development (and

and safety. Make referrals to other disciplines as indicated by the needs of the client or
document rationale for not doing so. *
10.Observe signs and symptoms and report changes in the clients condition to the physician
and/or Clinical Manager. *
11.Teach, supervise, and counsel the client and family regarding home procedures and other care
needs as appropriate to the clients condition. Use agency educational material as

12.Coordinate the total plan of care and maintain continuity of care by communicating with other
