Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
2. Experience: Program Therapist requires a minimum of one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
3. License: Must possess a state license as an LMSW, LCSW, LPC Intern, LPC, LMFT-A or LMFT. Staff are encouraged to pursue LCSW licensure.
4. Additional Requirements: CPR Certification and CPI training in accordance with New Hire policy must be completed prior to providing direct patient care services. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Demonstrates proficiency in the setup and operation of all monitoring and exercise equipment.
Plans, implements, evaluates documents patient education.
Completes all documentation and written communication in a timely manner.
Accountability:
Works with lab manager to maintain proper maintenance of testing equipment, and reports any malfunctions in a timely manner, while maintaining a safe and clear environment.
Seeks assistance/ supervision/ consultation as needed and reports to supervisor any problems and/or solutions regarding patient care of status of equipment.
Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and department personnel.
Notifies physicians in a timely manner of problems of pertinent complication.
Administrative:

We're seeking a talented, full-time OccupationalTherapist to join our school-based services team in multiple locations including: Plano/Richardson, TX.
Professional License Requirements
Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.
Hold a master's degree or doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
Have active state-level licensure as an OccupationalTherapist
What to expect from this role:
Experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required
Ability to evaluate and treat students, helping them access the school environment, improve academic performance, and develop independence
Serving as a member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team for students with occupational therapy concerns
Working and building strong relationships with parents, teachers, and school administrators
Facilitating goals and objectives per child's educational plan
Supporting students in developing fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills
Assisting in developing plans to improve classroom participation and functional school performance
Conducting family training sessions when necessary
Performing other OT duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification
Ensuring all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations
