Our OccupationalTherapists help patients who have debilitating conditions improve the functions of performing everyday tasks in the home. Occupationaltherapists use treatments to develop the daily living skills of their patients, the basic motor functions of patients as well as to compensate for any loss of function that may have occurred with the patient.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy and licensed as an OccupationalTherapist/OT in the state in which he/she currently practices.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provides differential diagnosis for patients/residents with speech, language, swallowing disorders.
- Provides written reports to both contracted facility or agency and patient/ residents physician.
- Establishes and carries out treatment programs on the basis of the diagnostics information available which will meet the patient's functional communicative needs.
- Educational instruction to the patient/resident, family, and appropriate restorative personnel regarding the communication disorder to facilitate recovery.
- Interacts regularly with other members of the rehabilitation team and nursing staff on the patients treatment plan, progress, and prognosis.
- Develops appropriate home and community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the patient in their environment.
