Key Responsibilities: Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients. Performing pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Must establish plan of care to achieve established goals relative to age, medical history and dysfunction. Working closely with a team of providers to provide integrated care and follow-up. Demonstrating professional competence and clinical reasoning in assessing patient's condition at the onset and through all phases of skilled physical therapy. Performing diagnostic evaluations upon referral by physician. Verifying appropriateness of referral, contacting physician as necessary. Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs. Establishing treatment goals, and prescribing and administering appropriate physical therapy procedures. Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs and providing instruction and education to patients and families.
