Primary Responsibilities:

Patient Evaluation & Treatment: Evaluate patients upon physician referral, develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, administer procedures and modalities, and plan for discharge using occupational therapy techniques tailored to each patient's age and needs.
Case Management: Serve as a case manager for assigned patients, maintaining accurate records and updating treatment plans with physician approval as necessary.
Patient & Family Education: Provide age-appropriate instructions to patients and their families on therapy procedures, home programs, and the use of assistive devices.
Communication: Collaborate with the rehabilitation team, family, physicians, and third-party payers to discuss patient progress and program changes.
Professional: Seeking positive interaction with staff and clients. Encouragement, team player and staff comradery.
Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, reporting any safety issues to supervisors.
Skills:
Experience: Preferred - 1+ years in an acute hospital or outpatient hand clinic; (new graduates may be considered with experience).
Solid experience in application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
Skills: Strong foundational skills in occupational therapy evaluation, treatment across Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric age groups.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration - Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence.
Physical Effort: Must meet physical demands to lift/push/pull patients and equipment; reasonable accommodations provided if needed.
Requirements:
Licensure & Certification: National registration and state licensure or registration required

Position Summary:
Provides effective therapy treatment or diagnostics of patients and clinical instruction. Evaluates and/or treats a patient by planning therapy programs, treatment plans, goals, and frequency of treatment. Modifies treatment plans as necessary and/or develops in-service programs for clinical instruction; and oversees the application of clinical techniques by students.Education/Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program in the appropriate physical medicine field.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA). Valid License by the State of Nevada as a Physical Therapist, OccupationalTherapist, Speech Pathologist. For new grads a Provisional License is required and work will be monitored and supervised by a Licensed Therapist. A valid State of Nevada license as a Therapist (PT, OT, or Speech) must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. Failure to obtain and/or maintain licensure will result in termination of employment.
* Met the criteria and is eligible to obtain a Wound Care Certification within 12 months of hire
* A minimum of two (2) years of recent (within last 3 years), documented wound care experience as a Physical Therapist
Preferences will be given to applicants who document the following:
* Current Wound Care Certification
* Recent PT experience in a fast paced Acute Care Facility and/or Rehab facility
Knowledge of:
Effective assessment, evaluation and treatment techniques; Medical terminology and abbreviations; Clinical approach to evaluation and/or assessment of patients; CPR and First Aid; Anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, modalities/physical agents, pathologies/pathophysiology specific to therapy discipline; Operation, maintenance and instruction of equipment specific to discipline; Clinical instruction and assessment; Techniques and trends applicable to specialty area; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures; age specific patient care practices.
Skill in:
Observing patient and/or determining treatment needs; Developing and implementing treatment plans; Assist in developing and implementing clinical instruction; Practicing universal precautions; Using equipment specific to therapy discipline; Communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds under stressful conditions; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Job Description
All Care Therapies is currently seeking an OccupationalTherapist (OT) to join our team in a dynamic Outpatient Clinic setting! We are looking for a clinician to deliver compassionate care to our pediatric patients, contribute to the multidisciplinary team, and collaborate with families to deliver a plan of care.
This is a 1099 full time position to work M-F from 10:00 am-6:30 pm or 4 10's from 8:00 am-6:30pm. This is an onsite clinic at 1306 E Calvada Blvd, Pahrump, NV 89048.
Qualifications
Responsibilities
Conduct pediatric patient assessments and evaluations to determine their physical condition, limitations, medical histories, and personal goals
Create and update treatment plans, testing and measuring patient's strength and flexibility
Confer with physicians, patients and their families, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of a patient's care team
Demonstrate exercises that can help pediatric patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain
Educate a pediatric patient's family about how to help care for and accommodate them
Assess pediatric patient's progress against goals and prepare reports for healthcare providers and insurance agencies
Complete all clinical notes in a timely manner using the company's EMR system
Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulation
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current and unrestricted NVOccupational Therapy license; or ability to apply
At least one year of experience as a pediatric occupationaltherapist is preferred
Continued education requirements maintained
Current CPR certification
Compensation
$100 per evaluation / $65.00-$75.00 per follow up
