UPMC Shadyside is looking for a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a full-time basis! + The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:30 pm, and an occasional weekend rotation. The person in this position may work in the inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Proficient in EKG interpretation. Conducts non-invasive cardiology testing which may include stress testing, Holter monitoring, and the technical functions of the pacemaker clinic. Provides group and individual exercise therapy for patients with chronic disease. Applies EKG telemetry and accurately performs 12 lead EKGs. Performs initial assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, safely and effectively administers individual and group exercise therapies, evaluates progress, and documents outcomes on patients to improve functional capacity and to offset the detrimental effects of inactivity. Educate on disease states, recovery, smoking cessation, hypertension, diabetes, medication compliance, nutrition, lipid management and stress management. Maintains open communications with coworkers, physicians and other dept staff. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - part-time REPORTS TO: Clinical Manager JOB SUMMARY: Evaluates, plans, and administers comprehensive occupational therapy modalities/regimes to patients in their place of residence for the purpose of developing and restoring function through rehabilitative occupational therapy as prescribed by a physician.
