We offer Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs in a safe and supportive environment for youth whose emotional and behavioral problems are interfering with their ability to function effectively at home, at school, and in the community. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
2. Experience: Program Therapist requires a minimum of one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
3. License: Must possess a state license as an LMSW, LCSW, LPC Intern, LPC, LMFT-A or LMFT. Staff are encouraged to pursue LCSW licensure.
4. Additional Requirements: CPR Certification and CPI training in accordance with New Hire policy must be completed prior to providing direct patient care services. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Here's What You Need
Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or related field (required)
3 months' experience in Cardiac Rehab (preferred)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)
and
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (required)
CCES - Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist Upon Hire (preferred)
RCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire (preferred)
Must possess basic to advance knowledge of cardiac rhythms, EKG interpretation, equipment used in stress testing, cardiac rehab, knowledge of the cardiovascular system, and adhere to patient safety goals.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Exercise Physiologist Process
Clinical Practice:
Assess patient health risks, needs, and interests.
Assist RN with patient assessment on admission to the program and assist with the development of comprehensive individualized exercise program.
Exercise and pharmacologic stress test supervision, including preliminary test interpretation.
Conducts fitness evaluations in accordance with testing guidelines and assist in the development of comprehensive individualized exercise programs.
Develops exercise prescriptions/programs tailored to the unique needs of the cardiovascular patient in accordance with the diagnosis and orders from the provider.
Provides instruction necessary for the safe and effective performance of exercise activities, and promotion of secondary prevention to individuals who are limited by cardiac disease to improve functional capacity and lower cardiovascular risk factors.
Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.
Competent in the use of cardiac telemetry ( ie. Scottcare, Paceart), obtaining accurate HR, BP, RR, and cardiac rhythm.
Demonstrates proficiency in the setup and operation of all monitoring and exercise equipment.
Plans, implements, evaluates documents patient education.
Completes all documentation and written communication in a timely manner.
Accountability:
Works with lab manager to maintain proper maintenance of testing equipment, and reports any malfunctions in a timely manner, while maintaining a safe and clear environment.
Seeks assistance/ supervision/ consultation as needed and reports to supervisor any problems and/or solutions regarding patient care of status of equipment.
Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and department personnel.
Notifies physicians in a timely manner of problems of pertinent complication.
Administrative:
Provides administrative support as needed, including but not limited to assisting patients with registration for cardiac rehab, receiving phone calls, providing information on cardiac rehab services, assists in scheduling appointments.
Maintain patient rights (confidentiality, privacy, safety, security, and decision making).
Proficient in correct billing, charging and procedure documentation.
Routinely obtain departmental, clinic and hospital communication via email
Documents according to department guidelines.
Documents all required data for Cardiac Rehab members according to department guidelines (hospital based)
Documents all unusual occurrences to system, hospital, and department guidelines.
Assists with quality control procedures.
Professionalism:
Participates in strategies to meet business initiatives and unit/team, program, and department specific goals and targets.
Attends in-services, department meetings, and other training sessions relative to job.
Is knowledgeable of and adheres to hospital and department procedures and policies.

Responsibilities:
As a Staff OccupationalTherapist at CNS, you will play a pivotal role in transforming lives. Your key responsibilities will include:
Patient Evaluations: Conduct initial evaluations to identify major problems and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Administer therapy programs, such as range of motion exercises, and perform interim evaluations to update patient programs. Additionally, you will perform on-site job, home, power tools, and height evaluations.
Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records and reports. Consult with patients, insurance representatives, families, and therapists from various clinic disciplines to provide guidance and information. Communicate with outside ancillary services, such as physiatrists, orthopedists, neuro-optometrists and neurologists, as needed.
Program Management: Stay informed about all patient programs within the department. Instruct and supervise clinic aides and students, ensuring they complete daily treatment plans. Be available to provide advice or treatment at all times.
Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's needs. This includes sensory integration, neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental techniques, oculomotor and visual perceptual therapies, and other specialized therapies to enhance patient outcomes.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of innovative individualized treatment strategies.

Qualifications:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.

Responsibilities
Performs ongoing clinical assessment, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points to identify patient/client needs, determine the level of functioning and appropriateness of the patient/client for home care.
Develops and evaluates the plan of care in partnership with the patient/client, representative (if any), and caregiver(s).

Report any changes in patient's condition or behavior immediately to their assigned preceptor, respiratory campus supervisor or assistant manager.
Request assistance/guidance as needed to ensure that patient care is delivered in a safe, high quality and effective manner at all times.
Responds to patient requests for assistance in respectful, positive and timely manner.
Documents patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Assumes accountability for all actions in the workplace and reports errors promptly.
