Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club company history timeline
1986: Corcoran Jennison purchased the erstwhile mansion for just under one million dollars and transformed it into a luxurious hotel called “The Mansion at Ocean Edge.” The inn would subsequently be part of a much larger resort called the “Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club.”
The hotel stayed in the family until 2001, when it was purchased by GDA Investments.
A distinguished historian, Margaret Conrad started at UNB in 2002 as the university’s first female Canada Research Chair in Atlantic Canada Studies.
Ocean’s Edge School of Worship (OES) was founded as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale in 2006 with the goal of raising up the next generation of worship leaders, songwriters, artists, producers, and musicians.
Since 2006, Ocean’s Edge has grown into a nationally recognized, award-winning program that has propelled and sent out over 350 next generation leaders into all the world.
Perry’s was later purchased by Pacifica Host in April of 2012.
Now, after nearly 15 years of discipling and training leaders as a non-accredited certificate program, OES is expanding to Ocean’s Edge University (OEU)! Starting in the Fall of 2020, Visible Music College (VMC) at OEU will be offering degrees in worship and ministry!
2022: The Mansion at Ocean Edge was inducted into Historic Hotels of America.
