The Role We are seeking a Field Service Representative who is passionate about the ocean and looking to have an impact on how people understand and explore this critical habitat. Your mechanical aptitude and boating experience will be key to your success in this role. This role is customer-facing, requiring strong technical expertise, professional communication, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. You will work closely with customers, engineers, and field operators, ensuring seamless deployments, technical support, and hands-on operation of WAM-V ASVs and OPTs PowerBuoys. Responsibilities Under the direction of the field operations manager, you will be a key member of the RaaS (Robotics as a Service) team. You will also assist in prototyping and testing of uncrewed systems. You will work closely with the engineering team. In addition, you may also be called upon to support the offshore installation and recovery of OPTs PowerBuoys. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: * Perform crewed and uncrewed vessel operation and maintenance in domestic and international locations * As needed, provide quayside and offshore support for PowerBuoy deployment preparations, deployment and recovery. * Ensure the entire RaaS fleet is properly maintained, serviced, and ready for deployment * Global remote or in-person customer support * Build and test mechanical assemblies from both detailed (production) drawings as well as back-of-the-envelope (prototype) drawings * Prepare as-built drawings, packing lists, and QC-related documentation * Perform QC on third-party and in-house components and assemblies * Follow operational and manufacturing best practices for the marine environment and robotics systems * Design, set up, and maintain dedicated workstations, manufacturing jigs, and tools Required Qualifications * Boating experience, preferably to include a minimum of 2 years working on boats on the ocean, primarily near coastal areas with familiarity operating small boats, docking, trailering, boat maintenance, and safety * Willingness to study for and obtain a California boating license, if you don't already have one * Approximately 3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical and low voltage systems * Proficiency with small hand and power tools * Familiarity with mechanical and electrical assemblies on a boat * Knowledge of best practices in boat maintenance (such as marine corrosion) * Ability to work with minimal direction while knowing when to ask for input or help * Positive and hardworking attitude; ability to function well with a team and remain calm under pressure * Valid US passport * Valid US Driver's License * Ability to attain U.S. security clearance if required Desired Qualifications * Experience on back deck of offshore construction vessels * Electrical and electromechanical assembly build-out and testing * Experience with machine tools (mill, lathe, etc.) * Experience TIG or MIG welding aluminum and steel * Bachelor's or Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, marine engineering, or a related field Equal Opportunity Statement Ocean Power Technologies provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, genetic information, service in the military, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.     The Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Architect will play a key role in designing and implementing the enterprise data platform CDO (Central Data Office) on Microsoft Fabric (Azure). This individual will collaborate closely with business, analyst, and IT teams to architect and deliver modern data solutions that enable actionable insights across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Marketing. The Architect will be responsible for building the foundational data warehouse, data engineering, data pipelines, and data models that power our analytics ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, SQL, Python, and data modeling, with hands-on experience integrating data from multiple source systems (using flat files, APIs, on-prem, and SaaS). ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Design end to end data architecture leveraging Microsoft Fabric capabilities (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2) • Design robust data models, schema definitions and ensure the data warehouse can support complex analytical workloads. • Develop and maintain data integration to extract and transform data from multiple systems including flat files (CSV, Excel, JSON), APIs, partner data feeds, and third-party SaaS platforms. • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all datasets, implementing Purview for lineage, classification, and access control. • Establish and document data architecture standards, including folder structure, naming conventions, version control, CI/CD via Azure DevOps, and promotion workflows. • Drive continuous improvement in data platform reliability, cost efficiency, and governance through automation and monitoring. • Participate in data strategy reviews, architecture design sessions, and cross-departmental planning. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred. • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or BI development, including 2+ years with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse. • Proven experience designing data warehouses, dimensional models, and ETL/ELT pipelines. • Proficient in SQL (T-SQL) and Python/PySpark for data processing and automation. • Experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory or Fabric Pipelines, OneLake, and Lakehouse architecture. • Experience integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and partner data. • Experience with Delta Lake / Parquet optimization (Z-ordering, partitioning, compaction) • Experience of Dimensional modeling (Kimball) and medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold). • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security. • Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions using Git / Azure DevOps. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
