Mr. Beyer came to the company after serving as Specialty Laboratories, Inc.’s first externally recruited president. During his tenure as president, COO and a member of the Board of Directors, the company introduced more than 500 assays to the market and posted significant continued financial growth, culminating in a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Specialty, Mr. Beyer was CEO of Medical Laboratory Network, a leading national provider of clinical laboratory testing services. Previously, he spent a decade at the Mayo Clinic in entrepreneurial leadership positions, most recently serving as the Director of Mayo Medical Ventures which identified and capitalized on opportunities to commercialize the clinical staff’s discoveries and innovations. Mr. Beyer earned a bachelor of science in management from Niagara University and a master of business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
