Practices High Level Disinfection, Pre-Vaccuum Sterilization, Gravity Displacement Sterilization, and Hydrogen Peroxide Plasma Sterilization techniques in accordance with MIFUs. Practices record keeping and document control as defined in Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and recommendations from regulatory bodies. Assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures. Responsibilities: * Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. * Provides various service related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure. * Required to rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments. * Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, ability to pull cases, capable in assisting for endoscopy procedures. * Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques and endoscopy instruments. Responsible for completing tasks associated with inventory control such as scanning products, picking orders, restocking par carts, inventory locations, and point of use systems. Responsibilities: * Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. * Utilize scanning technology for par locations. * Cycle counting and physical inventory counting as directed. * Order picking and packing including documentation. * Restocking pars and inventories. * Unit rounding, processing, and distributing supplies in a timely manner. * Basic understanding of product numbers and unit of measure. * Ability to check expiration dates and maintain clean and orderly stocking areas. * Ability to ensure a compliant ready state in all assigned areas. * Perform tasks in INFOR (ERP System) appropriately including transactions in Par Specialist, Warehouse Clerk, and Mobile Supply Chain Mgmt. * Provide excellent customer service. * Basic computer knowledge * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing * Other duties as assigned by management. This job is primarily responsible for functioning as a lead liaison between Sterile Processing and the OR. Responsibilities include performing quality audits to instrumentation accuracy, providing case cart and monitoring the availability of instruments while resolving instrumentation issues. The Sterile Processing Coordinator will function as a point of contact for other Sterile Processing Technicians, providing technical support and knowledge to junior staff. In this capacity, the Coordinator will work closely with Supervisors and Managers to implement process improvements, staffing, and training. This position will also performs data collection and special projects related to performance improvement and staff satisfaction. Monitors needs and turnover lists to identify and assign priority to emergency requisitions and required supplies and equipment based on knowledge of procedure requested; identifies items to be reprocessed for additional cases; communicates information to OR and SPD to limit delays. Provides shift report information to supervisor or designee. Performs quality audits on instrument sets and case carts. Monitors OR sterilizers and assists with IUSS in OR. Monitors OR & SPD shelves for critical items, peel packs and loaners. Restocking of instrumentation in surgical cores. Ensure instrumentation storage meeting organizational standards. Work with OR to have instrumentation trays serviced based upon repair schedule setup in Abacus. Functions as SPT as needed.
