About the Role
The Demand Planner supports the end-to-end planning process across demand, supply, and inventory to ensure products are produced and available to meet business needs efficiently. They develop and maintain channel-level demand and supply plans, lead day-to-day S&OP coordination, and ensure alignment between sales forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets. The Demand Planner is a cross-functional collaborator that works with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing (Operations), and Supply Chain to translate commercial forecasts into executable operational plans.
Key Responsibilities
Demand & Supply Planning
Develop and manage channel-level demand and supply plans for Retail, Wholesale, and Drop Ship.
Align production forecasts with sales inputs, marketing promotions, and inventory goals.
Support new product launches with channel-specific planning, timing, and material readiness.
Monitor actual performance versus plan and adjust forecasts to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
S&OP Coordination & Communication
Lead the S&OP process and ensure forecast, production, and inventory data are accurate and updated.
Communicate plan changes across Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment on volume, timing, and priorities.
Maintain ongoing visibility to demand shifts and operational constraints; escalate issues and recommend adjustments.
Inventory Management & Allocation
Maintain SKU-level visibility across production and 3PL warehouse locations.
Optimize inventory allocation by channel to balance service levels and cost.
Partner with Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure timely purchasing of ingredients and packaging.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Analyze historical sales, trends, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy and planning reliability.
Track and report key planning metrics, including forecast accuracy and service levels.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and data accuracy.
Support system and reporting enhancements within ERP or planning tools.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in demand or supply planning, production scheduling, or S&OP coordination within food & beverage, CPG, or manufacturing.
Strong analytical and Excel skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
Experience managing planning processes across multiple SKUs and channels preferred.
Excellent communication skills and a bias for action.
Ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term planning needs.

Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as a liaison between suppliers/vendors and Neuralink's various teams to support seamless procurement and supply chain operations.
* Understanding internal stakeholders' needs and aligning procurement strategies accordingly across diverse categories (e.g., hardware, clinical supplies, facilities, R&D, or general administrative needs).
* Developing and implementing sourcing strategies that support business objectives, including supplier selection, RFPs, and category management for both direct and indirect procurement.
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations (e.g., safety protocols for clinical/R&D, regulatory requirements in hardware or healthcare fields).
* Providing insights and recommendations to continually optimize procurement processes and reduce total cost of ownership across the supply chain.
* Analyzing the vendor pool and providing strategic recommendations for vendor consolidation to leverage economies of scale, streamline processes, and strengthen vendor relationships.
* Monitoring supplier performance, conducting audits, and addressing any issues that arise to maintain high standards in procurement and supply chain activities.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
* Proven strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation expertise in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in areas such as direct materials (e.g., hardware), working with clinical sites or clinical trials, capital equipment, large construction projects, or general procurement.
* Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Track record of delivering strategic value, cost savings, and operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in a related field.
* Strategic cost modeling expertise.
* Background in regulated industries (e.g., biotech, medtech, or hardware-intensive fields), with familiarity in managing procurement for clinical sites or clinical trials, R&D, facilities, capital equipment, large construction projects, or direct hardware supply chains.

Expected Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. As such, in addition to base salary, Neuralink offers equity compensation (in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSU)) for all full-time employees.

$68,000-$113,000 USD

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a Construction & Building Materials Procurement Manager who has deep experience sourcing and procuring construction materials-particularly those related to high-performance, sustainable, and net-zero building. This role requires direct collaboration with architecture, modeling, and operations teams to perform material takeoffs, finalize product specifications, and ensure materials arrive on-site before production deadlines.
If you have solid knowledge of structural systems, insulation, finishes, MEP components, and other key building products-and you're excited to help drive down embodied carbon-this is the role for you. We want someone who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and an excellent communicator. The ideal candidate will be able to bridge the gap between design intent and the factory floor, ensuring the right materials get procured at the right time and at the right cost.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed material takeoffs from architectural and shop drawings to determine precise material requirements for modular housing production
Work closely with the architecture and modeling team to finalize product specifications, ensuring optimal balance of performance, cost, and availability
Develop and maintain a comprehensive bill of materials (BOM) for our housing modules, including all structural, mechanical, electrical, and finish materials
Create and manage procurement schedules aligned with production timelines, ensuring materials arrive ahead of production needs
Research and qualify suppliers for all required building materials, with a focus on sustainable and high-performance products
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers, maintaining strong vendor relationships
Manage material cost tracking and variance analysis, identifying opportunities for cost optimization
Implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize production delays
Coordinate with quality control to ensure received materials meet specifications and building code requirements
Develop and maintain procurement SOPs and documentation systems
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of direct experience in construction materials procurement
Strong knowledge of building materials, including structural components, MEP systems, insulation, air/vapor barriers, and finish materials
Proficiency in takeoff software and construction management platforms
Experience with sustainable building materials and high-performance building systems
Experience with manufacturing or modular construction procurement preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
