MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Childcare Worker provides direct childcare services to children between the ages of one (1) months and twelve (12) years of age during hours, that the licensed daycare is unavailable, for children who are not actively engaged in the licensed daycare and/or when parents are unavailable to provide supervision, as well as children who utilize the daycare. The Childcare Worker is responsible for the supervision and management of all assigned children. The Childcare Worker interacts directly with the children and models appropriate adult-child interactions for the parents.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Group and Assistant Teachers in maintaining a positive, developmentally appropriate, safe and healthy learning environment.
Assist in implementing weekly lesson plans developed by the Group and Assistant Teachers.
Actively participate in individual and group child activities.
Assist in the daily set up, break down and cleaning of the classroom.
Assist in serving all daily snacks and meals for assigned children with the support of Group and Assistant Teachers.
Provide day shift classroom coverage during staff absences, vacancies or as needed.
Provide childcare to children who are not actively engaged in the licensed daycare and/or when parents are unavailable to provide supervision.
Provide support as needed to the Women/Children component of Odyssey House under the supervision of Education Director
Maintain proper inventory and functioning of all classroom equipment, materials and children supplies with the support of Group and Assistant Teachers.
Participate in all classroom trips and outings.
Attend all required in-service training seminars, staff meetings and on and off-site case conferences.
Participate in quality improvement activities and staff development.
Follow and implement licensing requirements per DOHMH and Odyssey House policies.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and two (2) years of experience working with children required.
Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience working with children preferred.
Experience working, supporting and teaching children is recommended.
CPR/First Aid Certification recommended (we could require it, but we also provide the class,so I say recommend and once hired have them trained within 3 months)
NYS Central Registry Check and fingerprint clearance required upon hire.
Knowledge of NYC Department of Health regulations and codes recommended.
Proficiency with computer operations (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs) required.
Must be able to lift small children.

MAJOR FUNCTION:
To provide effective and efficient advocacy service as part of the induction process
including program interviews, ascertaining information and orientating prospective
residents in the Odyssey House admissions process.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure potential inductions are serviced immediately in a professional and concerned manner.
2. Make sure all documents are included in new charts prepared prior to transfer.
3. Responsible for own active files making sure they are updated, accurate, secured and that all documents are recorded and filed correctly.
4. Submit reports as required
5. Counsel, screen, interview, and induct residents.
6. Obtain medical and psychiatric clearances when necessary.
7. Participate in outreach engagements.
8. Develop files on new inductions.
9. Coordinate individual inactive charts/closure.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for all renovations, adherence to safety codes and management of physical plant emergencies. She/he is also responsible for daily cleaning and housekeeping activities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily house run to assess condition of the facility relative to agency standards and determine areas of concern.
Ongoing maintenance of plumbing, electricity, heating and wiring.
Responsible for emergency and minor repairs to be completed in a timely fashion.
Responsible for responding to resident work orders in a timely fashion.
Responsible for ensuring apartment/living quarters are well maintained and clean.
Inspects apartments/living quarters and corrects deficiencies prior to arrival of new residents.
Perform carpentry work as needed.
Painting and maintenance of facility, both inside and out.
Maintain inventory and prepare purchase orders for maintenance and housekeeping supplies in a timely fashion.
In accordance with Program Director, responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations, codes and standards.
Completes housekeeping tasks and cleaning of facility at direction of supervisor.
Responsible for training new maintenance & housekeeping staff.
Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Attend all required in-service training seminars.
Participate in quality improvement activities.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Medical Director is a multi-functional position, encompassing responsibilities in medical leadership, oversight and supervision, patient care and program development. The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring a high level of quality care and adherence to all applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations governing delivery of substance use disorder treatment services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure medical policies, procedures and protocols are developed, approved, reviewed and updated in a
timely manner.
2. Ensure supervision and training of medical staff.
3. Monitor care to ensure adherence to medical policies, procedures and protocols.
4. Collaborate with the Program Director in supervision of non-medical staff.
5. Ensure medical care is integrated with other treatment services.
6. Ensure medical care is coordinated with services delivered by providers of collateral care.
7. Ensures medical records of consumer receiving care are reviewed on a regular basis.
8. Ensure all required treatment services are available according to medical necessity.
9. Keeps abreast of new and emerging medical treatments and implements changes as appropriate.
10. Ensures availability general primary care services and specialty care services to patients which include complete medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment and ongoing monitoring and reassessment of health status.
11. Ensure patients are evaluated for medical admittance into the substance use disorder treatment program, ancillary withdrawal is managed, and addiction medications are prescribed where appropriate.
12. Provides direct patient care.
13. Ensures reporting of communicable diseases and infection in accordance with applicable law.
14. Ensures facility adherence to infection control policy.
15. Assists in the development of collaborative relationships with other institutions and agencies such as general or specialty hospitals and nursing homes, health-related facilities, home health agencies, hospital outpatient departments, diagnostic and treatment facilities, laboratories and other healthcare service provider organizations.
16. Participates in the recruitment and hiring of medical personnel.
17. Participates in development and implementation of QA and CQI activities.
18. Advises Senior Management Team on best practices and innovations in the medical treatment of substance use disorders.
19. Assures coverage without gaps in the facility medical staff on-call system as required by applicable regulations.
20. Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
ABILITIES
1. Currently licensed and registered as a Physician in the State of New York.
2. Current DEA#, Infection Control Certification and Board Certified.
3. In good standing with New York State Department of Education Professional Licensing Boards and without any outstanding malpractice judgments.
4. At least one year of education, training, and/or experience in substance use disorder services.
5. Holds a federal DATA 2000 waiver (buprenorphine-certified), or must obtain the waiver within six months of employment.
6. Holds a board certification in addiction medicine from a certifying entity appropriate to their primary or specialty board certification if hired after March 29th, 2019; or may be hired as probationary medical directors if not so certified but must obtain certification within four years of employment.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Order Processing: Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to facilitate smooth purchasing processes, such as conducting Request for Quotations (RFQs), ensuring the bidding procedure is followed and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service levels and issuing and managing Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
Problem Solving: Working with internal staff and system tools to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies, assisting in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or invoices.
Records and compliance: Maintaining accurate records including monthly reports, approvals, bid, and purchase order documentation, as well as up to date vendor information. Ensure purchasing activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes and workflows. Implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma required, some college preferred or equivalent vocational study in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in purchasing operations and category management.
Excellent verbal and written communication ability
Knowledge of Procurement tools such as ERP, e-procurement, Inventory systems etc.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

The Director of Residential Treatment Program (OASAS) is responsible for the day to day operation and coordination of an OASAS 819 certified and funded residential services program. MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Residential Recovery Coach is responsible for providing recovery support services to consumers participating in an OASAS Residential Treatment Program. The Residential Recovery Coach documents all provided services in a manner that is compliant with regulatory and funding agents.
The Residential Recovery Coach delivers services to the participants on-site and in the community.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to the development of the ethical framework for delivery of recovery services and conducts all recovery coaching activities within this framework.
Document all CRPA services in accordance with state and managed care regulations.
Provide guidance, support and recovery coaching for participants in accordance with Treatment Plan and engages in recovery activities and support services.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to deliver culturally competent services to a diverse consumer population.
Ability to share Life Experience in a manner appropriate to the consumers served.
A minimum of six months of community-based recovery with at least six consecutive months of abstinence at the time of enrollment.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
In collaboration with the Director of Recreational Services, the Deputy Director of Recreational Services will provide oversight of all Odyssey House recreational activities across the designated facilities. The Deputy Director of Recreational Services works collaboratively with Director of Recreational Services and facility staff to facilitate a range of recreational activities which are focused on the promotion of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness as well as the identification of healthy lifestyle alternatives.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. In collaboration with Director of Recreational Services, provide oversight of Odyssey House recreational services.
2. Supervise assigned recreational staff including interns, yoga instructors and other recreational staff.
3. Develop and implement a “Run for Your Life” group curriculum focused on physical wellness and its relationship to recovery goals.
4. Assist the Director of Recreational Services in all aspects of client participation in RFYL program and the NYC Marathon.
5. Assist the Director of Recreational Services in all aspects of facility participation in annual Fun Day, “Run for Your Life” 5k fund raiser, and in-house program competition such as Basketball, Softball, Soccer etc.
6. Effectively onboard and orient all new Odyssey House recreational staff.
7. Provide introduction and orientation of recreational services to all Odyssey House clients and staff.
8. Assist in the scheduling of major facility recreational activities (i.e. sporting events, poetry slams, and in-house activity competitions etc.).
9. Support organizational fundraising efforts.

REQUIRMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Social Worker position requires a wide range of clinical skills including interviewing, individual and group counseling and a thorough knowledge of the substance abuse, mental health and human service system resources. The Social Worker is responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients that have co-occurring mental health issues requiring a specialized group curriculum.
Additionally, the Social Worker is responsible for the role of Health Coordinator to assure the provision of education and/or referral for communicable diseases. The Housing Specialist will assess the client's eligibility for housing assistance, and complete necessary documentation for transitional housing. The Housing Specialist will assist clients in the development of skills necessary for a successful and sustainable transition into community living.

Within seven days of admission, in collaboration with the resident, draft an Independent Living Plan (ILP).
Develop and facilitate Independent Living Skills workshops to build skills and increase knowledge related to activities of daily living, ability to access community-based resources, spending habits and money management.
Assist residents in navigating the subsidized housing identification and application process. This includes completing 2010e applications on all residents seeking subsidized housing.

Identify, conduct outreach and establish cooperative service agreements with concrete resources that directly provide housing and/or access to housing suitable for older adults in recovery.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Vocational Counselor (CRC) is responsible for providing services which assist clients in obtaining necessary education, vocational skills, interests and work attitudes in order to secure employment. Responsible for the day-to-day operation and coordination of a 17-unit OMH funded Transitional Housing serving individuals who are Justice Involved. Demonstrated experience working with justice-involved populations, reentry programs, or supportive housing. Knowledge of housing first, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care models. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Familiarity with local and state reentry and housing systems.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Director of Residential Treatment Program (OASAS) is responsible for the day to day operation and coordination of an OASAS 819 certified and funded residential services program. She/he is responsible for oversight of job performance, guidance of all program employees and for the direct supervision of designated subordinate staff.
The Director of Residential Treatment Program (OASAS) is responsible for maintaining OASAS regulatory compliance and assuring that programs operate in accordance with Odyssey House organizational standards.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and monitor program systems, policies and procedures.
Maintain good relations with and act as liaison to the state monitoring agency.
Act as liaison to funding and referral sources, the community-at-large, and the corporate officers.
Assure that all Utilization Review, Quality Assurance and Incident Reporting activities are conducted in accordance with Odyssey House policies and applicable regulatory standards.
Supervise the maintenance of adequate and up-to-date records on all residents, as well as supervise record-keeping responsibilities of staff in accordance with applicable regulatory standards and Odyssey House policies.
Ensure clinical and operational support coverage for facility and maintain on call telephone accessibility on an ongoing basis
Monitor admissions procedure to ensure compliance with OASAS guidelines
Accurately submit and review data submitted to HRA STARS.
Responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility; ensure compliance with safety and physical plant standards.
Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
Acts as resident advocate, assuring that all residents' rights are respected and that all grievances and complaints are addressed in a timely and equitable manner in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare monthly reports for the Senior Manager responsible for clinical oversight.
Prepare annual work plan.
Responsible for all personnel actions, including recruitment, hiring, evaluation, promotion, disciplinary action and separation of program staff.
Assures that all program staff members are adequately trained
Provides and implements formal orientation plan to newly hired direct subordinate staff.
Provides direct supervision for designated staff as per Odyssey House policies.
Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his/her supervision. Review evaluations of all program staff.
Comply with all OASAS regulations and participate in the certification process.
Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
Provide ongoing training for program staff and participate in Odyssey House in-service trainings.
Lead quality management activities.
Other relevant duties as assigned by the applicable Senior Management supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Master's Level Clinical Degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree and 5 years administrative or clinical experience working with target population.
2 years experience in administration and one year in a clinical, mental health, housing or chemical dependency setting.
Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC etc.).
Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
