We are an Assisted Living Facility located in Staten Island seeking a Front Desk Shift Supervisor.

The front desk shift supervisor is responsible for the general oversight of resident activities and wellbeing throughout their shift. The position serves as the assigned point of contact and accountability on its shift for residents and personnel. The Evening Shift Supervisor is the charge position for hours of 11PM to 7AM or 3pm-11pm responsible for the oversight and safety of the Facility and the residents during these hours. As pertinent, The Supervisor is required to oversee aides activities during meal times, medication passes and throughout the night. The Supervisor must address all resident issues including medical referrals and admissions, and communicate via documentation any concerns that need to be addressed to Case Management or the Director of Resident Care Services.

GENERAL TASKS

  • · Supervise the residents during meal times assuring aide assistance as needed
  • · Assist new admissions during meal times and to acclimate during the evening hours.
  • · Conduct facility rounds.
  • · Reconcile census worksheet with actual building census.
  • · Make sure that all aides are providing proper personal care assistance per toileting and ADL lists.
  • · Monitor assignments for aides for proper work flow.
  • · Keep toileting and ADL list and update as necessary
  • · Intervene in resident conflicts, outburst, and behavior issues.
  • · Intervene in medical/mental health emergencies as needed.
  • · Investigate all resident incident/falls and give summary to case manager.
  • · Attend to all late admissions/readmissions (paperwork, medications changes, etc.)
  • · Handle all personnel issues (employee behavior, dereliction of duty, complaints) and report to The Director of Resident Care Services.
  • · Communicate all pertinent shift activity to immediate supervisor and Case Management.
  • · Assure that all important issues are reported in 24 hour communication book.

Conduct office open/close procedures to ensure Sheltering Arms sites are accessible during business hours and secured during overnight hours Responsible for serving as the first point of contact for the public, visitors, clients and staff visiting any Sheltering Arms Office or site and assisting to ensure efficient and tidy ongoing operations throughout our office environments Collect and reconcile records related to Sheltering Arms Fleet/Vehicles Check Sheltering Arms general inquiry email account and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff : Sheltering Arms strengthens the education, wellbeing, and development of high-need children, adults, and families across the New York metro area.
