The Medical Assistant role provides clinical and administrative support for patients under the direction of a Provider and/or licensed Nurse.
Responsibilities:
Prepares patients for examination; takes and records vital signs; performs phlebotomy as needed; administers medications as directed by the Providers according to policy and procedure
Collects data that contributes to the assessment and evaluation of individualized care and needs of assigned patients, including discharge plans, under the direction of the Licensed Nurse
Collects, processes, and submits laboratory specimens in accordance with policy and procedure

Develops and maintains positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
Follows safety policies and procedures in the delivery of care to assure a safe environment for patients, families, and other staff members

Learning Objectives:
The Cleveland Public Library is seeking to hire Tutors for multiple locations throughout the county to provide basic skills, academic and/or literacy support to K - 12 youth and adults in the community.
These positions will be off-site at a Cleveland Public Library branch. All sites are accessible by bus. This is the perfect job if you do not have a car as many of the branches are located in communities within a short distance to Tri-C campuses!
Tutors will demonstrate:
* Excellent communication skills
* Time management skills
* teamwork skills
* Conflict/behavior management skills
* Must be reliable and have a desire to work with youth, teens, and/or adults in an urban setting.
* GPA of 2.0
* Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
* Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
* Adhere to college's confidentiality policy;
* Successfully pass background/drug screening;
* Successfully complete AAI Solutions Online Training
* Experience working with children;
* Make at least a 2 semester commitment to the program;
* Demonstrate willingness and ability to work with the community;
* Positions are located at Cuyahoga County Public Libraries located throughout the county;
* Other duties as assigned
