General Statement of Duties:
The Senior Office Technician will be responsible for performing, with minimal supervision, a variety of complex clerical duties for which general guidelines exist, exercise initiative and independent judgment within established departmental procedures. Position may require detailed and sensitive public contact.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The majority of duties are performed in the office. The job duties require the ability to sit for up to 4 hours at a time, the ability to stand for up to 1 hour at a time, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, to push/pull up to 100 pounds, the ability to operate office machines requiring manual dexterity and repetitive key entry for up to 4 hours at a time. The ability to read, write and speak English, the ability to comprehend large amounts of written material, use the telephone, and communicate via electronic mail is required on a daily basis.


Responsibilities May Include:


Edit, word process and proofread correspondence and complex reports. Operation of central telephone system. Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. Compose routine correspondence. Laserfishe scanning and sorting of files both electronic and physical. Vendorization. Compile and reconcile information for reports. Develop forms, templates, spreadsheets and databases. Coordinate special projects. Data entry and retrieval. Assist in orientation and training of new staff. Completing copy request and file transfers. Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and three years increasingly responsible office experience. May substitute A.A. degree or business school certificate for one year of experience. Knowledge of office procedures and practices; grammar and spelling; word processing and/or data entry methods. May require previous experience in specific technical function to be performed (ex: telephone reception or word processing). Knowledge of Microsoft office software including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Access. Ability to type at least 50 wpm is required.

Job Description

The PremierOne Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) Technician will be responsible for various customer supporting functions and products including customer CAD systems, related services, interfaces, and other various ancillary systems. Basic network and infrastructure knowledge will contribute to a successful position. Primary duties will include acting as a back office support technician working within a ticketing system to handle assigned customer issues which are functionally escalated from the Support and Onsite Admin groups. Duties will also include working with the CAD Engineering teams to enter and classify defects based on these customer found issues. Position requirements may require strict background checks within our customer set requirements - in order to gain remote access to these highly sensitive customer systems. The candidate must have excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills.
What you will be able to do:
Solve problems by identifying the root cause of a reported incident; either application use or product code.Gather data that will aid in code fixes specific to the customer's environment, and/or defects identified within a specific product.Manage reported application and/or system issues to ensure full functionality of the end users system. Support customers who depend on their dispatching system to keep their public safety operations running. Builds expert knowledge in the Mission Critical Software and Public Safety Solution Industry.Work with various teams including Support, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success groups.Utilize relationships amongst Motorola teams to identify and determine the best approach to support customers, their systems, and everyday needs. Actively utilize the support ticketing system used to update customers on incident status, next steps, and resolution of an issue. Be a member of a team who supports mission critical systems during off hours on a rotational schedule.

  • Technical authorization with CompTIA and hold a current status of “A+ Authorized” is preferred.
  • Technical authorization with two or more of the following manufacturers: Apple Computer, Inc., Hewlett Packard LaserJet and Desk Jet printers, IBM laptop and desktop computers, HP Computers, Toshiba America, Apple Computers is preferred.
  • Requires a sound technical background with a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a Service or IT environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem experience are helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills are a plus.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook is a plus.
  • 5 years supporting one or more operating systems such as Mac OSX (Up to Mt. Lion), Win XP or WIN7 is mandatory.
  • Experience with Mobile Devices & Operations Systems (Blackberry, IOS v. 4 or better, Android) is beneficial
