Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
Three years full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience to include one year in the supervision of employees preferred. Thirty semester hours with a minimum of six semester hours in Criminal Justice from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may be substituted for one year of non-supervisory experience for a maximum substitution of one year.
Note: The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will be $5,101.69.
This position is at a maximum security facility and will receive a 3% Maximum Security Differential Pay (MSD).

Job Details:
Paraprofessionals will assist teachers in providing an innovative, high-quality education program designed to meet the needs of the children in the Fitchburg Public Schools.
Paraprofessionals will work with school staff to create an educational environment in which quality and continuity are key factors in educating the students of the Fitchburg Public Schools.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Meets or exceeds Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Title I Paraprofessionals Hiring Requirements;
* Have obtained an associate (or higher) degree, or;
* Have at least two years of post-secondary education that is equivalent to at least 48 credit hours from an accredited higher education institution, or;
* Have met a rigorous standard on one of the formal Massachusetts-endorsed Assessments: Parapro or WorkKeys;
* Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children to effectively problem solve;
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders;
* Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth, both academic and social-emotional, to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student;
* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs/bend often, and walk;
* Knowledge of the education, development, and instructional support of children;
* Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Security Monitor will:
* Supervise and monitor hallways and bathrooms throughout the school day
* De-escalate conflict and provide support in conflict resolution in various situations
* Provide a positive and safe environment for students in the school
* Ensure the safety of students across all settings of the school day
* Follow professional practices consistent with the district's policies in working with students, parents, and colleagues
* Attend and participate in meetings and other assigned meetings and activities according to school policy/CBA
* Maintain and improve professional competence through attendance at professional development events that meet district expectations and the requirements for recertification, ex: SafetyCare, Alice Training, etc.
* Maintain accurate and complete records as required by district policy and administrative regulation
* Support teachers and administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct and, for the classroom, supports rules of classroom behavior and procedure, maintaining order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
* Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, colleagues, and parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of assigned students
* Promote equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including, implementing specific strategies for students with special needs, with 504 plans and/orsecond language learners
* Perform other duties that may be assigned by the building principal/SPSA/assistant principal

Our Asset Protection Officers maintain a visible presence within our stores, often at the front of the store. This position includes both foot and vehicle patrols, as well as monitoring safety on Wegmans property. In this role you will be trained in conflict resolution and proper handling of medical emergency situations. Our officers are entrusted with finding the resources needed to address all safety and security concerns.
What will I do?
Maintain a highly visible profile including standing at the front door, and surveying the store and outside parking areas
Conduct employee and customer escorts as requested
Intervene and diffuse customer conflicts effectively
Inspect perimeter doors, windows and gates to maintain high levels of store security
Visibly observe customers and employees in an effort to deter undesirable activity in and around the store
Required Qualifications:
Police Officer/Deputy/Trooper experience working road patrol and/or United States Military Law Enforcement or Special Operations experience
Ability to participate in and complete any required specialized training
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain effective communication and composure in stressful situations
Proven ability to effectively manage conflict
Able to problem solve, anticipating, analyzing, and identifying opportunities, responding quickly when situations arise and preventing problems when possible
Technical aptitude and PC skills with Windows applications; must be able to navigate through multiple programs and screens efficiently
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Criminal Justice
Certified EMT
Certified in AED, CPR, and FAC
