Performs general or special duty police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Assignments may vary based on department needs (e.g., CID, Patrol, Training, etc.). The Police Officer is primarily responsible for maintaining safety and security on school grounds by patrolling the area, responding to emergencies, investigating crimes, and working to prevent criminal activity, while also acting as a resource for students, staff, faculty and the wider community by fostering positive relationships and providing crime prevention education.
