Responsible position involving the safeguarding of human lives and personal and public property, through the enforcement of criminal laws, ordinances, traffic laws, and the enforcement of University regulations which specifically pertain to the behavior and welfare of students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Examples

Physical Condition
Must have the physical and mental ability to properly carry out the duties and responsibilities of a commissioned police officer of Midwestern State University, to include the ability to speak and hear clearly. Must also meet the vision requirement establish by TCOLE and have the physical use of all extremities in order to physically restrain or apprehend individuals when necessary.
Experience

The Armed Security Officer protects personnel and property within the DRH Health system and seeks to prevent criminal and destructive activity and correct hazards and unsafe conditions. Must have the ability to interact appropriately with all team members (including administrative and physician/providers), patients, and visitors under difficult circumstances. Assists DRH team members with combative patients or visitors.
RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Responds promptly to service requests, emergency codes, and urgent situations, internal/external disaster events, and other security-related tasks as needed.
Visible deterrent to criminal activity, providing security for patients, team members, and visitors, protecting and patrolling hospital buildings, assets, and premises, as assigned.
Conducts frequent security patrols of the facilities and grounds, as assigned. Ensures all property and facilities are secure. Detects and takes proper action regarding unauthorized or illegal entry. Inspects facility property for hazards or unsafe conditions reporting issues or concerns to Facilities. Identifies and reports trends related to security issues to Manager.
Demonstrated competence with handgun, taser, body cam, radio, handcuffs, duty phone, and other law enforcement tools.
Conducts preliminary investigations of reported incidents. Takes initial information for an incident report, uses proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, notes only the facts, leaving out personal opinions, and submits report in a timely manner. Prepares written reports on calls for service and unusual occurrences.
Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge of network security monitors. Monitors live cameras, as needed.
Controls pedestrian and vehicular traffic, when needed. Provides public services such as motorist and patient assistance and escorts to vehicles upon request. Controls and enforces facility parking through the use of patrols, towing, and explanation of rules as applicable, when needed.
Responds to the collection, inventory and return of lost and found items, patient valuables, medication, and personal property according to policy.
Assist team members at the helipad during emergencies, during patient transfers, during the application of medical restraints, and with disruptive patients and guests, when requested.
Must be alert at all times and able to make immediate decisions with regard to laws, policies, and procedures.
Listen and respond appropriately using tact and discretion. Distribute confidential and sensitive information or documentation.
Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements that may include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Uniforms must be worn in accordance with dress code requirements.
Delivers various medical equipment as needed throughout the hospital system.
Completes special projects and assignments designated by the Security Manager.
Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Appropriately adapts assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the physical, cultural, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each person served.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education opportunities including internal and external educational offerings.
Complete basic incident command training and coursework.
Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.
Per DRH policy, all required conditions of employment must be met and maintained including required vaccinations.
This position requires respirator and fit testing. Required testing will be performed on all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet producing procedures, or any caustic chemicals.
Must adhere to, and promote, safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Must meet state requirements for owning/carrying firearm. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must successfully pass drug screen and criminal background check. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner. Ability to handle urgent and crisis situations calmly, effectively, and efficiently. Strong customer service and investigative and conflict resolution skills. Ability to think on your feet in a wide range of situations. Must show proficiency with safe gun handling skills and pass handgun qualification tests.
Ability to effectively follow applicable regulations, policies, and/or procedures. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 3 years of previous law enforcement, honorable military service, or armed security experience preferred. Previous healthcare security experience preferred. Must be proficient with the use of telephone, e-mail, radio, cell phone, computer, and computer software (ex. Word, Excel) in order to generate electronic daily activity security reports, incident reports, emails, and other applicable correspondence during the performance of duties.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must be a CLEET Certified Armed Security Officer or have completed requirements and applied to obtain certification within 180 days of hire/transfer. Must successfully complete CPI, MMPI, and taser within 180 days of hire or transfer. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required; may have up to 30 days from hire/transfer to attain. Must maintain a current valid Oklahoma driver's license and automobile liability insurance.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing Security team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across our multi-cloud environment (primarily AWS, with growing Azure and GCP footprints). This is a hands-on role that combines architecture, engineering, threat modeling, and incident response in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud-native security controls (IAM, network security, encryption, logging/monitoring, SCPs, Azure Policy, GCP Organization Policy, etc.)
Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code security tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Pulumi) with security guardrails
Lead cloud security posture management (CSPM), cloud workload protection (CWPP), and cloud-native application protection (CNAPP) initiatives
Perform threat modeling and security architecture reviews for new cloud services and applications
Automate security testing in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, IaC scanning)
Respond to and investigate security incidents in cloud environments
Develop and enforce cloud security standards, baselines, and hardening guides
Work closely with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and application teams to securely accelerate delivery
Participate in purple team exercises and penetration testing focused on cloud infrastructure

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of hands-on cloud security experience (AWS required)
Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Security Specialty strongly preferred)
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and policy-as-code
Proficiency in cloud-native security services: AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, Inspector, Config, Azure Defender, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, GCP Security Command Center, etc.
Experience implementing Zero Trust principles in cloud environments
Solid scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, or Bash) for automation
