A Brief Overview
The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling the hospital and grounds to ensure a safe, secure environment for Associates, patients and their family members, and other visitors to the hospital. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
What you will do
Patrols hospital, parking and/or assigned area to ensure safety and security for Associates, patients and visitors to the hospital.
Assumes mobile responsibilities, i.e., van, shuttle.
Provides customer service and performs general duties.
Uses proper communication skills for radio and telephone.
Prepares daily activity reports, Incident Reports, Offense Reports, Fire Reports, etc.
Maintains property of patients, lost and found property, and documentation on money escorts.
Maintains appearance and equipment.

Assist with identifying safety performance, state of good repair, and other metrics, trends, and analysis for purposes of developing mitigation strategies to address, reduce or eliminate risks.
Report safety critical data to federal and state Safety & Security agencies.

Education:

We are currently seeking professional and experienced Armed Security Officers for a static post at a manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN. This position is critical in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and property. The hours are M-F from 10:00pm-6:00am.
Qualified candidates must be dependable, well-equipped, and capable of exercising sound judgment in high-stress situations.
Prior security or client-facing experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a constant and visible armed security presence at the facility
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and enforce site-specific entry protocols
Conduct patrols of the premises, including interior and exterior areas
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
Complete accurate and detailed incident reports
Support company policies regarding safety and conduct
Assist in conflict resolution and de-escalation as necessary
Maintain professional appearance, situational awareness, and safety readiness at all times
Job Requirements:
Must possess a valid Tennessee Armed Security Guard License
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Must provide your own duty firearm, duty belt, and appropriate security gear (minimum Level III retention holster required)
