Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.

This position is located at NAS Lemoore, CA and will support the F-35 security operations. Due to the dynamic environment supporting pilot training the incumbent may be required support either first or second shift operations to include weekends as required. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This sworn, working-level law enforcement class performs all non-supervisory assignments found in a municipal police department. While incumbents are normally assigned to a specific geographic area for patrol or traffic enforcement, all functional areas of the law enforcement field, including community policing, narcotics, K-9, motorcycle, crime prevention, school resource, and investigations are included. Incumbents are required to be armed while on duty and may be assigned to work in uniform or plain clothes. * Conducts comprehensive investigations into felony and high level crimes, including computer related crimes, as assigned including determining and conducting surveillance activities and coordinating and maintaining crime scene activities.

When performing duties in the School Resource Officer assignment:
* Acts as liaison and resource between department and school systems, students; assists and counsels youth; assists and maintains relationships with parents, school authorities, community and other officers.

This Master Transportation Security Officer-Security Training Instructor position is located at Fresno Yosemite International (FAT), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Master Transportation Security Officer (MTSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training-related functions. In addition to training program responsibilities, you will also perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD), or his/her designee, a minimum of 20% of the time. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Performing training instruction within established guidelines and standards in support of nationally developed training programs (e.g., new hire training, On-Screen Alarm Resolution Protocol, Crossover); supporting recurrent training needs, and conducting return to duty and remediation training.
* Adapting/developing local training materials to meet requirements; conducting local training in accordance with training standards; assisting with the training department administrative support (e.g., Online Learning Center (OLC) entry, training resource room facilitation, roster management, conducting testing, and ensuring evaluations are done); assisting with training logistics support components (e.g., coordinating needed supplies and materials); managing classroom dynamics; resolving routine classroom problems; monitoring and evaluating training and providing feedback on needed adjustments; recommending enhancements; and maintaining communication with management and supervisors concerning issues with training that may reveal security-screening weaknesses or vulnerabilities.

Selection Process
The examination process may consist of the following:
PANEL INTERVIEW - 100%: A panel interview will be administered by a panel of officers. Police Officer Cadet
Officer Job 20 miles from Tulare
The City of Hanford is continuously accepting applications for the Police Officer Cadet position. This position is a non-sworn classification structured for candidates hired to become sworn police officers. Successful applicants, who complete the P.O.S.T. Academy as well as other department training, will be eligible to be considered for full-time employment as police officers as positions become available. However, being selected as a police cadet does not guarantee full-time police officer employment.
Examples of Duties
As a police officer cadet includes attending classroom activities, participating in both the learning process and in interactions with students and faculty resulting in achieving a passing grade on all classroom requirements. Also includes completing classroom assignments and projects as required. In addition, participating in physical activities resulting in achieving a passing grade on the P.O.S.T. physical agility exam; and, participating in the firearms course resulting in achieving a qualifying score for firearms qualification under California Penal Code Section 832 and perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate California Operator's License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, with a good driving record.
Additional Requirements: Minimum of 20 years of age at time of application submittal. Must be enrolled in a California POST-certified Basic Police Academy.
Additional Information
Screening will consist of a competitive assessment of relevant education, training, and work experience to be followed by a written examination and/or an interview before an Oral Board to determine the most qualified candidates. Position Information
DEFINITIONUnder general supervision, to perform a variety of duties involved in the enforcement of laws and the prevention of crimes; to conduct and participate in general investigations of crimes, accidents, and cases; to control traffic flow and enforce State and local traffic regulations; and to perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the Department. EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Patrol a designated area of the City to preserve law and order; discover and prevent the commission of crimes; check property for physical security.
Respond to general public service calls and complaints including domestic disturbances, civil complaints, property control, automobile accidents, robberies, and related misdemeanor and felony incidents.
Investigate crimes and suspicious circumstances; collect, process, photograph and present evidence including fingerprints, fibers, blood, and related physical evidence; interview victims, complainants and witnesses; identify and interrogate suspects; apprehend and arrest offenders; testify and present evidence in court.
Respond to and determine cause of traffic accidents.
Enforce traffic laws and ordinances; check speed with radar; issue warnings and citations.
Direct traffic and perform crowd control at fires, special events, and other emergency or congested situations.
Contact and cooperate with other law enforcement agencies in matters relating to the apprehension of offenders and the investigation of offenses.
Maintain contact with citizens regarding potential law enforcement problems and preserve good relationships with the general public; take an active role in areas of public education relative to crime and crime prevention.
Assist in controlling problems of juvenile delinquency.
Take custody of lost and found property.
Prepare reports on arrests made, activities performed and unusual incidents observed.
Serve warrants and subpoenas within the department and with outside agencies; remain current on laws and procedures required for processing warrants.
Administer first aid in emergency situations until relieved by appropriate medical personnel. Book prisoners; assist in the custody, care, and welfare of prisoners; transport prisoners.
Furnish information and directions to the public. Attend briefings and read briefing materials.
