As a member of the audit team, the Audit Officer candidate will be responsible for planning and completing various risk-based internal audits, interacting with various levels of management, assisting with other audit and special projects, and providing leadership and supervision to staff members, all in accordance with the annual audit plan and professional practice standards.

Works under the supervision of the Audit Managers.
Provides leadership and limited supervision of staff auditors on audit engagements.

Conducts audit testing of assigned areas within established/modified timelines.
Establishes or assists in the completion of risk-based audit programs through audit planning processes.
Evaluates or assists in the evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's internal control processes.
Completes assigned audit procedures that test the accuracy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, risk assessments and other documentation.
Prepares work papers that record and summarize assigned audit procedures.

General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. * Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).

This is a casual position, intended to meet the specific operational needs of the College. This position will work no more than 450 hours in a 12 month period. This position will report to the Pines Opportunity Center (Morgan County Campus), but may be required to report to other campus locations based on the needs of the position. This position will be responsible for conducting unarmed patrol, both interior and exterior, to ensure all locks and meals of access are secure. Communicating effectively with public and staff. Documentation of all incidents occurring on campus. This position is also responsible for reporting any crimes or suspicious person to the authorities.
* Performs interior and exterior patrols; vehicular patrols of campus parking lots, and its environs;
* Unlocking and locking doors; setting intrusion detection alarms;
* Respond to calls for security assistance in regard medical emergencies, and other first responder related requests.

* Preparing reports pertaining to incidents;
* Provides customer service to visitors, staff and students about campus functions.
* Prepares student and employee IDs and issuance of vehicle parking permits (Main Campus).
* Provides safety escort services.
* Annotates log book and promptly and thoroughly completes incident reports.
* Opens and closes College facilities based on the College's operating schedule and assists in lock downs.
* Provides parking lot and traffic assistance based upon need or assignment.
* Performs daily mail pick-up and delivery when assigned to the Tech Center.
* In the absence of the primary Receiver, acts as that employee's back-up. In this capacity is certified by the college to receive all packages destined for Tech Center recipients.
* Performs related duties as assigned or as directed.
Individuals hired for this position will be expected to attempt to deescalate potential confrontations. This is an unarmed position; however, incumbent will be trained and certified to carry and deploy pepper spray.

Experience
One year of security, law enforcement, emergency medical service, or other related experience is required. Or similar duties while serving in the armed forces of the United States.

The Martinsburg Police Department is responsible for enforcing laws and regulations designed to protect the life and property of the citizens of our city and to improve their quality of life.
As a probationary police officer, you will participate in an extensive training program.
