Patrols assigned areas of hospital campus to maintain an orderly and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Enforces Hospital policies and procedures, and applicable local and state laws. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron (CHMCA).
Responsibilities:
1. Actively patrol assigned area of jurisdiction on foot or in a vehicle, checking buildings and surrounding areas for criminal activity or unsafe conditions.
2. Working independently with minimal supervision, respond to all assigned calls for police services, including, but not limited to; violent persons, hazardous situations, medical and mental health emergencies, and non-criminal assistance to the campus community.

Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and all UPMC owned and adjacent properties. Qualifications:

Additional credit with passing grade of 70% (for a maximum of 20 points):
Ten (10) points for minimum 2-years prior and continuous full-time police officer experience. Separation from previous department must have occurred within the last 1 year of this notice OR five (5) points for current peace officer certification or academy enrollment; five (5) points for Associate's degree in Criminal Justice; five (5) points for prior military service. Definition/Purpose:

Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and all UPMC owned and adjacent properties. Responsibilities
Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, other public areas and/or an entire campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.
Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized hand held computer or manual tickets. Impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
