Job Summary and Qualifications
The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
What you will do in this role:
Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
What qualifications you will need:
Current State of Utah Registered Nurse License or RN license in a Compact State
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days from start date
Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN is preferred
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 90 days from start date
Previous critical Care experience strongly preferred
Basic Arrhythmia Recognition must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Details:
Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room
Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement
On-call is required during select non-business hours
What you will do in this role:
Evaluate patients prior to surgery
Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team - consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients

Qualifications and Requirements:
* Current state RN license
* Associates degree
* Must have a current valid Utah nursing license, compact state license or Utah apprentice RN License
* Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care to patients who are consistent with the RNs knowledge and skills that are in accordance with hospital policy and procedures. Promotes a positive teamwork environment, which emphasizes respect to all including, patients, families, physicians, staff and other departments. Works in the critical care areas (ICU, PCU and ED) 75% of the time. Exemplifies professional nursing practice through expert clinical practice, strong leadership skills, and management activities. Under the general direction of the Director, independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the unit.
What qualifications you will need:
Current State of Utah Registered Nurse license or RN Compact license
Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
Any other certification/training required by the department in which employee is floating.
At least one-year acute care hospital experience required.
