Qualifications: Preferred at least 2 years of experience as an advanced practice provider in the inpatient setting. Gastroenterology experience is desired but not required. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Current national certification as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Current state license and registration. Valid DEA license Certified in BLS endorsed by the American Heart Association. Responsibilities: Perform new patient consultations and follow-up visits in the hospital setting. Conduct history and physical examinations, establish presumptive diagnoses, and order appropriate laboratory studies and tests. Interpret and evaluate findings of diagnostic testing. Triage patients to determine the urgency of evaluation. Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record. Collaborate with supervising physicians, APPs, and other members of the patient care team. Communicate effectively with patients and other care team members. Consider individuals' cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors in creating treatment and care plans. Provide necessary patient education. Perform other duties as assigned.
