Job Description Job Objective: Works in collaboration with physicians to provide preventative care and medical services, evaluate and promote patient wellness. Updates staff in safety regulations and procedures changes. 10. Responsible for maintaining equipment and notifying Director of equipment malfunction. 1 1. Responsible for maintaining accreditation requirements which involves QA/QC documentation, as applicable. 12. Responsible for implementing, communication monitoring and resolving employee safety issues and concerns. 13. Assists with the preparation of a variety or reports, analyses and summaries as requested by department director. May present report findings orally or in writing to requesting parties. 14. The position reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made. Responsibilities And Duties: 60% Performs various ultrasound examinations. Subjectively interprets information based on judgmental decisions by Ultrasonographers, requiring in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology. Maintains complete knowledge of wave form physics, i.e., , time gain compensation curves, attenuation factors, etc. , required to set equipment variable properly for appropriate imaging of specific anatomy. OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring a full-time registered Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology department. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. This is a large and busy Radiation Oncology department located in two locations within the hospital and requires a therapist to be on call for add on or urgent cases. Call is rotated on a weekly basis among the 11 therapists. The department consists of three Linear Accelerators and two CTs. They also provide High Dose Rate Brachytherapy in the department. Delivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Prepares patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters. Job Description Job Objective: Ensure proper care of endoscopy equipment, provides assistance in the procedure room to physicians, patients and nursing staff, prepare and clean rooms Scope of responsibility and accountability: · Responsible for care and maintenance of equipment in the endoscopy center environment · Assists the physicians as directed · Maintains positive working relationships with physicians, manager, and peers. · Follow infection control standards at all time · Supports the philosophy, goals and objectives of the endoscopy center · Practices cost containment and proper, safe equipment operation Major activities and essential job functions: · Prepare procedure rooms and assists with diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures · Assists the physician, nurses and CRNA with endoscope procedures. · Sets up each procedure room prior to procedure and has appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies available to use · Prepares specimens for lab and documents · Properly charts interventions completed during procedures utilizing electronic charting. · Responsible for care and maintenance of equipment, tests equipment prior to procedure to ensure it is working properly, Reports equipment malfunction to nurse manager · Properly cleans and disinfects/sterilizes accessories used during procedures · Responsible for care, maintenance and disinfection of endoscopic washer · Prepares appropriate paperwork and endoscopes for repair · Maintain equipment records · Maintains appropriate inventory levels and assists with ordering · Cleans and restocks rooms and carts · Provides patient care pre and post procedure under the supervision of the registered nurse · May gather initial patient information questions such as current complaint, known allergies, may help patient dress and undress, may take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure), applies pulse oximeter to patient and may monitor pulse and respirations after procedures; assists with patient discharge as directed · Adheres to infection control principles and applies universal precautions according to hospital and departmental standards · Keeps nurse manager updated at all times · Orders supplies as needed · Will utilize electronic charting throughout patient visit · Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned Position Qualifications: · Must be 18 years of age or older · High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D. · Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician Program preferred · Current BLS certification · Effective understanding and use of the English language · Must be flexible with working schedule and have ability to work occasional ovetime · Willingness to learn new tasks, be cross-trained in the center and be flexible with work load including assisting co-workers Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Effective verbal and written communication skills · Ability to communicate with diversified levels of patients, staff members, and management · Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping · Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives · Ability to organize work material and/or charts to ensure accuracy of patient records · Ability to handle and resolve problems · Neat appearance and a professional demeanor Regulatory requirements/risks/exposures: · Works with chemicals including, but not limited to, chlorine bleach, glutaraldehyde and formalin · Physical demand requirement meets those define as HEAVY work, exerting 50 - 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 - 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 1 - 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects On-Going job Expectations & Competency: In addition to the above, ongoing job expectations of the scope technician · Orient to new procedures and equipment · Responsible for maintaining current BCLS · Maintain annual fire safety/general safety training · Maintain annual OSHA-TB · Maintain annual OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen · Maintain annual PPD skin test or TB Screening Form · Must complete annual performance evaluation and return in a timely manner, including competency skills checklist · Attends and participated in at least 75% of staff meetings and reviews minutes of those meetings not attended

Neuro Interventional Radiology: The NIR Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Neurologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique. Shifts for this position begin at 7a with a shift of (4)10hr or (5) 8hr work schedule. No weekend rotation, only call. Call is 1-2 nights/week & 2 out of 6 call weekends per 6-week schedule. Responsibilities And Duties: 75% In Role specific listed below per procedural area Cath Lab Specific: (Level 3 Lab- Ohio Admin Code) The Senior Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for coronary, peripheral, and structural heart procedures. The Senior Technologist must meet all requirements of the procedural job code: knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, sterile technique and knowledgeable of all inventory items and equipment in the department. Requirements: 1. The Senior Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be an active, effective preceptor for new associates and students. 2. Competent to scrub and circulate all coronary cases including complex PCI and brachytherapy; Ventricular assist devices (IABP, IMPELLA and ECMO); all peripheral vascular cases including venous procedures (IVC reconstruction) and all Structural Heart Procedures including aortic and mitral valves and ASD/PFO. Must rotate through all labs including the HVL at least twice a month. 3. Competent to float to Arrythmia Services and Hybrid Lab to assist with procedures. 4. Must be FT or PT rostered FTE 5. 1-3 years' experience in hospital CVL department Arrhythmia (EP) Specific: The Senior EP Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Electrophysiologist for non-invasive, invasive, and structural heart procedures. The Senior Technologist must meet all requirements of the procedural job code: knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, arrhythmia monitoring, cardio structures, anatomy of the heart chambers, sterile technique, and be knowledgeable of all inventory items and equipment in the department. Requirements: 1. The Senior EP Lab Radiologic Technologist must be an active, effective preceptor for new associates and students. 2. Competent to scrub and circulate all complex ablations including afib and VT, laser lead extractions, and Structural Heart Procedures. 3. Competent to float to Hybrid Lab to assist with lead extraction procedures outside of our unit. 4. Must be FT or PT rostered FTE 5. 1-3 years' experience in hospital EP department Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific: The Senior VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. The Senior Technologist must meet all requirements of the procedural job code: knowledge of the imaging equipment in use, vascular anatomy, sterile technique, and be knowledgeable of all inventory items and equipment in the department. Requirements: 1. Competent to scrub and circulate all special angiographic procedures including but not limited to: Y-90, (Trans jugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) TIPSS, Chemoembolization, Uterine Artery embolization (UAE) and GI Bleeds 2. Must be FT or PT rostered FTE 3. 1-3 years in hospital IR department Neuro Interventional Specific: The Senior Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The Senior Technologist must meet all requirements of the procedural job code: knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, avascular malformations, stroke interventions and sterile technique and be knowledgeable of all inventory items and equipment in the department. Requirements: 1. The Senior Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be an active, effective preceptor for new associates and students. 2. Competent to scrub and circulate all Neuro cases including mechanical stroke. 3. Must be FT or PT rostered FTE 4. 1-3 years' experience in hospital NIR department 15% Greets patients upon arrival to department. Checks chart for required data (i.e., informed consent). Reports absences or abnormalities to RN/physician. Explains procedures, gives instructions, and answers patients' questions. Participates in room turnover and transporting of patients. 10% Assists Radiation Safety officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel on regular basis. Performs tasks using radiation safety principles; checks lead aprons for tears; reports findings and removes inadequate gear from service; maintains accurate records or work with Radiology department to maintain records.
