The Culinary and Nutritional Service Associate I or II provides assistance in all culinary functions in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the culinary services are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Essential Activities and Tasks Operations Management - 75% Performs day-to-day culinary functions to serve meals and snacks that are palatable and appetizing in appearance that provides residents with an exceptional dining experience. Assists in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis, delivers food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas, and works in serveries. Serves food in accordance with established portion control procedures. Ensures that culinary services work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner. Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties as needed and directed by supervisor (i.e. cleaning work stations, counters, refrigerators/freezers, etc., sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes and returning clean items to proper storage areas, removing garbage, keeping work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment and supplies, etc.). Assists in executing special events and participating in their planning and preparation. Distributes, collects, and counts menus as necessary. Quality and Compliance Management - 10% Ensures that established quality assurance, infection control, and universal precaution practices are maintained when performing departmental procedures. Maintains the confidentiality of resident care information. Willingly and consistently shares observations and insights of departmental operations that may improve quality and efficiencies of department. Attends all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed. Customer Relations and Service Delivery - 10% Listens and responds to the needs of residents and staff members. Helps residents and visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Summary: Join our team of full time and part time staff at Mount Carmel Fitness Center. Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers. The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining the facility with consistent superior standards of order, cleanliness and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Respond to customer requests for locker assistance. 2. Maintain the highest level of integrity and honesty when entering customer lockers. 3. Maintain locker rooms through routine cleaning as prescribed. 4. Refill all locker room toiletries and supplies as required. 5. Monitor locker room area including sauna, steam room, and whirlpool for customer cleanliness and maintenance issues. 6. Clean and sanitize the floors and surfaces in all areas of the facility as directed. 7. Operate automatic washers and dryers. Wash, dry and fold linens, including repetitive stooping, pulling and twisting to move wet linens from washer to dryer. 8. Replenish towels throughout the center as needed. 9. Empty trash, replace liners, break down and throw out used boxes. 10. Accept deliveries properly and locate stock to designated areas. 11. Help set up conference rooms. 12. The ability to lift wet linens and cleaning supplies up to 25 lbs. 13. The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours and work schedules. 14. Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties. 15. Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence communicating with EMS. 16. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED preferred. • Minimum 6 months of related experience or training preferred. • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness). • Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner. • Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
