About the Role: The Chief Estimator is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the Estimating team for various electrical construction projects. This includes administering operating budgets, staffing, work assignments, salary and performance reviews. The Chief Estimator will also support and administer all department standards and procedures as well as be responsible for the final review and approvals of estimate packages. The Chief Estimator will coordinate with the Operations Manager and Division Manager for the selection of projects to pursue. Qualifications: 5+ years of plumbing estimating experience in commercial work. Strong understanding of codes. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings - architectural, structural, and mechanical plans; familiarity with a variety of plumbing systems and terminology. Ability to fill in gaps and complete/layout systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Self-motivated with a sense of urgency in completing assignments. Consistently set goals, meet deadlines, and deliver results.

The Estimator is responsible for the preparation of complete and accurate estimates for each phase of the project's design. This position works with clients, architects/engineers, and subcontractors/suppliers to plan cost factors for building projects. This position analyzes construction documents, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
