A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT MECHANIC - LUBE TECHNICIAN
We offer flexible full-time or part-time hours:
Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Saturdays, 8 AM - 12 PM
As our Assistant Mechanic - Lube Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and vehicle inspections. You'll work closely with experienced mechanics, gaining valuable hands-on experience while contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our service operations.

Quick Lane Automotive Lube Technicians Duties and Requirements:
Perform oil changes and tire rotations.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and performs repair services as needed.

Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
Familiarity with the use of computers, repair manuals, wiring (electrical) diagrams and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure
Ability to safely drive vehicles in and out of service area
Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks
Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:
1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and related components is preferred
Experience with diesel powered vehicles preferred
General knowledge of truck components and systems
Knowledge and understanding of Lock/Tag Out procedures or the ability the learn those procedures

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lube Technician is an entry-level position responsible to inspect, recommend, and maintain vehicles to assure basic care, safety, reliability, and ownership experience is compliant with manufacturer (OEM)standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nurture a culture of extraordinary customer and associate experiences.
Execute consistent processes to assure favorable customer and associate experiences.
Execute vehicle maintenance, LOF, MPI, TXM to specific standards.
Directly interact with Team Leader and/or Service Sales Advisors.
Maintain accurate paperwork, MPI, warranty documentation (CCC), flag time, clock time and notes.
Continuous knowledge and professional skills education.
Drive and park vehicles.
Execute customer car washes.
Maintain safety, clutter free, cleanliness of all workstations.
Daily empty trash barrels.
Daily remove all scrab and tires.
Daily sweep and scrub shop floor in common areas.
Weekly, degrease, clean, and maintain heavy equipment (tire machines, etc.)
Report progress, challenges, options, and solutions to assure outstanding results.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
Begin ASE certifications (8 total)
