Position Overview
CDC is seeking an experienced Driller Helper to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow in a dynamic and specialized industry while working with a supportive and professional team.
Key Requirements
* Valid Driver's License: Clean driving record required; CDL Class A is a plus!
* Physical Fitness: Fit-for-duty and able to lift heavy materials, climb, walk, stand, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks using hand tools.
* Welding Certifications: Preferred but not required.
* Travel Flexibility: Must be able to travel out of town as needed (hotel accommodations and per diem provided).
* Screening & Clearance: Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks, as well as obtain necessary jobsite-specific clearances.

* Safely and efficiently mobilize, setup and operate HDD equipment to maximize daily productivity and quality, while providing resolution to problems that may arise at drill site
* Monitor locating process and equipment during the drilling phases
* Add or remove drill rods, and carry out basic maintenance of drills, including lubricating and cleaning and report any mechanical issues to manager
* Operate other equipment as necessary including trenchers, mini excavators, and backhoes
* Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism when working directly with customers, vendors/suppliers and subcontractors
* Take direction easily and respect changes in priorities and timing as requested by manager
* Perform all duties according and utilizing safety procedures and equipment, while following and implementing all Miss Utility Laws
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* 1-year experience with operating HDD equipment and/or similar heavy equipment in various conditions
* CDL Driver's License with clean driving record or willingness to obtain
* Able to work in confined spaces
* Safe performance record
