Perform post-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations. Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork. Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift. Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to company procedures. Report all equipment issues in a timely manner. Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including all DOT regulations. Physical Requirements Include Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevation. Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50-65 lbs. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to grip a steering wheel for extended periods of time. Your expertise and impartiality will be essential in maintaining a level playing field and resolving disputes effectively.Responsibilities: Officiate Detroit Mechanix home games according to UFA rules and regulations, ensuring fair play and player safety at all times. Make impartial and decisive rulings on game actions such as fouls, violations, and scoring plays. Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and fellow officials to clarify rulings and maintain game flow. Enforce penalties and administer disciplinary actions as necessary, while remaining calm and composed under pressure. Attend pre-game meetings and training sessions to review rules, discuss game management strategies, and address any concerns. Collaborate with game management staff to address any logistical or administrative issues that may arise during games. Qualifications: Previous experience officiating ultimate frisbee or other sports at a competitive level is strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of UFA rules and officiating mechanics, or a willingness to undergo training and certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain composed and impartial in high-pressure situations. Strong decision-making abilities and the confidence to enforce rules consistently and fairly. Physical fitness and agility to keep pace with the game and maintain optimal positioning on the field. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the UFA season.
