Reports To: Pastor
Holy Spirit Catholic School seeks a Principal of their PreK-8 school who will build upon a strong and stable foundation and lead the community into a deeper unity of faith, intellect, and life through Christ.
This role is well suited for a leader who recognizes that Holy Spirit is in a season of consolidation and opportunity that calls for trust, presence, and thoughtful leadership. The Principal will be entrusted with shepherding what is healthy, honoring the people who have faithfully sustained the school, and steering the teachers, instruction, and the school community into greater communion with Christ through deepened engagement with the riches of the Catholic intellectual tradition.
The Principal is responsible for:
Inviting the school into deeper engagement with the riches of the Catholic intellectual tradition, not through abrupt reform, but through professional development, faculty seminar, formation, and exploration of the reality of the Catholic faith throughout all instruction.
Serving as the pastoral and educational leader of the school in close collaboration with the Pastor and parish leadership.
Sustaining and strengthening trust among faculty, families, and students through consistent communication, follow-through, and visible presence.
Oversee student life and discipline through upholding virtue-based discipline policies., supporting teachers in parent-facing disciplinary conversations, and addressing serious student concerns with fairness, discretion, and pastoral care.
Maintaining institutional stability, ensuring that established policies, systems, and student-support structures continue to function smoothly.
Leading with prudence, patience, and charity, recognizing that authentic renewal unfolds through relationship and confidence rather than speed or mandate.
Qualifications & Disposition
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A deeply rooted Catholic faith, expressed through prayer, sacramental life, and fidelity to the Church.
A genuine appreciation for the Catholic intellectual tradition and the ability to communicate its value in accessible, non-ideological language.
Prior experience in school leadership (Principal, Assistant Principal, or equivalent).
Strong relational capacity: warm, steady, and capable of navigating complex conversations with clarity and compassion.
Emotional maturity and resilience, particularly in communities that value stability and continuity.
A Masters degree in Educational Leadership (as required by the Archdiocese).

Overview
The Department of Pediatrics at Children's Mercy in Kansas City is seeking to hire a full-time pediatric biochemical geneticist. This individual will join the talented and experienced Division of Clinical Genetics which currently includes three clinical biochemical geneticists, four pediatric geneticists, and fourteen genetic counselors. The division is supported by three expert metabolic dietitians, and outstanding nursing and administrative staff. The clinical genetics team works closely with the faculty and staff in the Biochemical Genetics Lab, and the Genetics and Genomics Lab. There are ample opportunities for collaboration with the Children's Mercy Center for Pediatric Genomic Medicine, and the Children's Mercy Research Institute (CMRI). Children's Mercy is affiliated with the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) and Kansas University Medical Center (KUMC).

The Behavior Evaluator is responsible for behaviorally testing all canines and entering test data in a timely manner. An important aspect of the job is to provide honest, objective behavioral information when evaluating an animal's mental welfare and to help determine if the animal is a good adoption candidate. Other responsibilities include monitoring and creating strategies for maintaining graduates of Wayside Waifs Canine Behavior Center, and also ensuring our more challenging canine population have current directives and are monitored for signs of stress or regression. The Behavior Evaluator will help educate volunteers, fellow staff members, potential adopters, and the public by promoting positive reinforcement and displaying proper dog handling techniques.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work within a team to ensure a thorough behavior assessment is completed on all canines 5 months and older entering the shelter.
Distinguish between floor ready canines and canines who may require an extended assessment period or behavior modification.
Ensure each dog has proper signage, walking equipment, and walking directives when needed.
Make recommendations to staff and volunteers regarding canine behavior issues when necessary.
Support the admissions department with canines that pose a safety concern at intake, including entering notes gathered from surrendering or finding parties and notes about behavior on intake.
Monitor the behavior of all dogs in the main building and adjust enrichment and support protocols as needed.
Communicate daily updates of dogs cleared behaviorally to appropriate departments to ensure the best flow through the shelter.
Provide support for adoptions and foster departments through behavior consults, meet and greet assistance, and further training/management recommendations for designated dogs.
Maintain open communication with CBC Trainers about graduates of the CBC, and collaborate on behavior maintenance plans and best practices.
Support the “Ask a Trainer” feature by responding to behavior related inquiries as needed.

The House Director is responsible for the overall business operations of the House; including but not limited to the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, food service and safety/security of the House. The House Director exercises discretion and independent judgement, when comparing and evaluating various outcomes involving the business operations.
Requirements
Essential Functions
· Ensures a safe and productive environment for collegians and staff, including walking the property inside (multiple floors with stairs) and outside.
· Responds appropriately during all emergency situations and contacts appropriate parties.
· Creates a strategy for the long-term care and upkeep of the facility for the House Corporation Board.
· Obtains several detailed estimates for all work to be completed on the House.
· Keeps accurate records of maintenance repairs; including but not limited to roof, HVAC, security system, sprinkler system, plumbing and electrical.
· Communicates house maintenance issues to the House Corporation Board and coordinates all routine maintenance issues in a timely manner. Manages all minor repairs within agreed amount in a timely manner. Notifies House Corporation Board of major repairs that exceed agreed amount with estimates that need to be done. Reports immediately to the House Corporation Board all hazards and damages that require insurance claims.
· Stays within the given budget for ad hoc expenses; reconciles receipts and purchase orders; reviews and submits for payment through appropriate party.
· Purchase's kitchen, cleaning and other necessary supplies while maintaining inventory.
· Collaborates with the Chef and the collegians to plan nutritious meals within the budget.
· Manages employees including but not limited to, hiring, completing performance evaluations, approving payroll, employee relations, etc.
· Manages multiple preferred service providers to resolve issues while staying within budget.
· Remains with all visitors at all times including service providers.
· Keeps the House Corporation informed of any inspection by insurance adjusters, fire department, government agencies, or others concerned with the maintenance, security, and safety of the House.
· Assists the Director of House Management with the required fire drills and other required inspections; specifically seeking out any damage to the House.
· Communicates regularly any unusual trends, activities and/or problems with the chapter to the Chapter Advisor (ATC).
· Meets regularly with the House Manager and attends any meetings with chapter members and/or boards as necessary.
· Opens and closes the House before and after each break in conjunction with the university academic schedule.
· Reviews, and processes invoices timely per the Accounts Payable guidelines.
· Uploads receipts, provides an expense description, and assigns G/L account numbers timely on the Fraternity Housing Corporation credit provider website.
· Must reside in the chapter house each night the collegians are in residence.
· Adheres to university, House Corporation Board, Office of Housing and chapter policies and rules.
Non-Essential Functions
· Assists the House Corporation with managing/reviewing the fixed asset inventory list in November and May every year.
· Approve timecards in a timely manner.
· Secures staff substitutes as needed.
· Arranges for meals as needed.
· Serves as a hostess, as requested, for the chapter social events, such as recruitment.
· The House Director is required to check on the House periodically during House closures.
· All other duties as assigned.
Experience Previous house director or property management experience preferred.
Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical experience Must be able to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, email and scanning.
Travel Minimal local travel.
