Assist in the designing, testing, and implementation of programming applications using Java/J2EE programming language. Work with middleware technologies and databases to prepare detailed technical specifications from which integration services will be written. Works under close supervision and learns technical skills from more experienced Java developers.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in implementation planning, fit analysis, configuration, testing, rollout, and post implementation support of software applications
Elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the needs of project stakeholders including customers and end users
Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt new requirements
Coordinate resolution of issues and defects discovered during testing
Gather business requirements and define detailed specifications
Assist in the development and debugging of software using Java/J2EE
Participate in the development of software using web presentation technologies such as AJAX, JSON, JavaScript, CSS and HTMLS
Work with Business Analysts to design and deploy database schemas and specify all attributes of database tables including primary keys, foreign keys, identities, constraints, default values, indexes, and triggers
Provide on call support for production systems to ensure on-time, quality service can be provided to customers
Assist with database application development using SQL and JDBC
Process documentation to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Work with more experienced developers to develop skills
Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience
Experience:
1+ year educational and or work experience with web applications and hosting environments
Understanding of software development methodologies and modern best practices
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
Familiarity with JSP/Servlet container frameworks, Apache, Tomcat, JSP, JSF, Hibernate, REST, SOAP, Web Services, Web Services Security, and Test-Driven Development with JUnit or equivalent tool
Experience with Eclipse or equivalent modern IDE
Experience with Subversion or equivalent Source Control Management solution
Experience developing web applications and user interfaces with Java technologies such as JDBC, JSP, JSF, and servlets
Ability to multitask and work as a team player
Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation Range:

Repair non-motorized dock equipment such as deck bars and straps
Follow all safety guidelines for operating dock equipment and materials used in the course of daily work

Job Description:
Trailer Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance on UPS Transportation Trailers and Converter Dollies. Properly diagnose and perform necessary repairs to non-power equipment, including air brake systems and electrical systems.

Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout the workday

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and manage the policy and procedure development for employee-related compliance-related aspects of the business
Coordinate and liaise with other departments as needed on compliance matters impacting HR related laws and regulations (e.g. ELD compliance, federal and state drug testing laws)
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
In consultation with the Legal Department, perform risk-based reviews of business line activities, processes, and controls
Offer guidance on identified compliance risks identified within the organization
Identify and manage the tracking of all HR compliance related requirements and reporting
Timely identify changes to existing legislation, leading the updates to existing policies and procedures where changes are necessary
Provide leadership to internal business units on regulation changes and actions needed to remain in compliance
Complete or assist with required compliance changes and deadlines
Other HR compliance-related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business or related field required
Experience:
5+ years of experience in HR compliance matters
Experience with multi-state (preferably nationwide) compliance
Must have HR compliance experience in the following key states (CA, NY, IL, WA, OR, and MA)

Old Dominion Freight Line is currently recruiting for a Dock Supervisor to join our OD Family Culture. This Supervisor role will successfully manage a shift or section in a service center while maintaining the department/shift and service center standards for safety, quality, efficiency, cost, service and delivery, training and development and housekeeping. The supervisor must complete the various company and government forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, inter-terminal movement forms (ITM's) and exception forms. Constantly uses OD's proprietary technology system permitting consistent monitoring of shipment locations as freight moves through the various terminals while communicating continuously throughout the day with associates, customers and team members verbally and through other computer operating systems.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate the safety of each employee on a daily basis
Monitor and evaluate the safe and efficient loading and unloading process of freight throughout the shift
Monitors, evaluates, and teaches employees safe lifting techniques as well as uses safe lifting as needed throughout the day
Monitor and maintain housekeeping within the shift to ensure safety and productivity
Manages, assigns and supervises dock employees in the area to ensure proper utilization of employees, equipment, loading and unloading while meeting OD and customer expectations
Manages all dock work schedules and time off requests
Closely works with the Operations Manager/Assistant SVC Manager and/or Service Center Manager to ensure alignment in meeting daily/weekly/monthly and yearly business objectives
Provide analyses, suggestions and ideas for the improvement of operations within the shift, department and facility
Provide positive and constructive feedback to employees on a continual basis regarding ROI, MPH, Stops per hour, return shipments, missed shipments, delivery/pick up errors, and overall productivity, etc. This also includes handling disciplinary actions needed at the discretion of the supervisor
Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with local state, federal, .federal safety regulations, as well as OSHA compliance, and DOT compliance

Ensures that 100% of trailers are loaded correctly to ensure safe transport of freight

Complete forklift job training knowledge and uses a forklift as necessary within the service center

Comprehends and ensures compliance with company and government regulations
Works assigned shift/s as needed, must be available to work depending upon customer pick-up and delivery scheduled
Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent. Some college preferred.

2 years working operations experience preferably in the transportation industry
