Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Commercial Banking Specialist II works with assigned Relationship Managers (RMs) in the Commercial and Business segments. This position provides sales, administrative, loan, deposit and other relevant support to the RMs. This position also provides primary support for the RM's clients.
The Commercial Banking Specialist understands the overall commercial workflow and processes and works effectively with relevant Bank Partners to resolve client issues and provide a high level of service.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $18.25/hr. - $29.75/hr.. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Key Accountabilities
Assists with Loan Process
Collaborates with RMs in contacting clients to gather items needed to prepare a complete application for submission (financials, purchase agreements, invoices, etc.).
Prepares loan requests utilizing required forms or the Commercial Online Application (CML) software. Submits applications to the Loan Fulfillment team for further input and processing.
Reviews and manages open applications in LOS for assigned RMs.
During the underwriting and pre-closing phase, collaborates with Underwriting teams and Loan Fulfillment to obtain any missing client information (financials, entity documentation, signers, etc.).
Coordinates loan closings and attends loan closings to perform Notary services if necessary
Submits closed loan packet to Loan Fulfillment for funding and booking.
Assists with Depository Process
Opens commercial depository accounts for assigned RMs and acts as a liaison with Treasury Management, Private Banking, and the Community Banking team to facilitate the depository process.
Acts as a point person in resolving client depository issues with Client Care and Treasury Management Services.
Assists with Sales Support and Administrative Needs
Conducts research and organizes outreach for business development activities.
Assists and supports assigned RMs with daily activities including calendar management, incoming calls from clients, and client mailings.
Understands and complies with all applicable compliance rules and regulations.
Assists with Portfolio and Credit Administration
Utilizes the Power BI software to provide assigned RMs with pipeline, portfolio, production and credit information.
Tracks upcoming loan maturities and contacts clients to request financial information as needed.
Assists in clearing past due financials, post-closing exceptions, and trailing documents.

GENERAL FUNCTION

Client Service:
Serve as a trusted advisor by developing relationships with the clients, stakeholders, and families, while understanding the guardianship process and ensuring obtainment of and compliance with court orders and coordinating internal and external advisors to meet those needs.
Coordinate fiduciary services for approximately 45-60 guardianship clients.
Administer Special Needs Trusts and probate court supervised Trusts often with discretionary income and principal payments distributed on behalf of the disabled individual or minor among multiple family members and outside vendors while managing financial risk and knowledge of applicable government benefits restrictions on distribution.
Execute the terms of any estate plan or documents in which Fifth Third Private Bank serves as Trustee, Guardian or Agent for Guardian, often exercising broad discretion in determining the minor or disabled adults' best interests.
Serve as a resource to the family to navigate the complex guardianship process and provide counsel on court expectations of the Guardian of the Estate and primary function of the assets of the disabled adult or minor-to support that disabled adult and minor child.
Work closely with outside counsel and GALs, where applicable, to manage the risk associated with this unique fiduciary role while providing best in class customer service to the disabled adult and/or minor child.
Review and secure assistance with outside payroll vendor to manage the relationship's payroll needs within the bank's risk appetite.
Work closely with Unique Asset team to manage the estate owned residence to provide for an appropriate and safe living arrangement, overseeing modifications and ongoing daily property management where necessary.
Retain at least 95% of relationships in book of business with the assistance of the WMA team, Private Bankers, and Product Specialists.

Review daily trust activity.
Ensure compliance with all processes and procedures- work with Senior Guardianship Advisors and Guardianship Advisors to ensure all documentation is retained.
Work with Senior Guardianship Advisors, Guardianship Advisors, and Trust Tax to ensure proper tax reporting.
Coordinate with Middle Office for account opening, account Closings, cash transactions and asset transfers.
Complete annual administrative account reviews for individual accounts and supervise the team's completion of their annual administrative account reviews.
Ensure all internal compliance and proper documentation requirements are met for all accounts under responsibility, consistent with internal fiduciary policies and procedures regarding business acceptance, discretionary actions, and all other bank policies, procedures and guidelines.
Promptly marshal the ward's assets providing for their proper management.
Review the ward's financial history in order to assist the Portfolio Management team to ensure proper investment goals, quantify liabilities, and raise sufficient cash for administrative expenses, debts and taxes.
Plan for accurate and timely tax compliance, working with internal partners and outside attorneys and accountants, in order to achieve the lowest combined taxes (including Estate, Gift, Generation Skipping Transfer, Personal and Fiduciary Income Taxes). Coordinate litigation review or initiate litigation with the review of Fifth Third Bank Legal Department.

Responsibilities
The Senior BSA/AML Business Systems Analyst will assist management in minimizing risk to the Bank by providing support to key systems used by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to detect and mitigate unusual activity and customers that may pose higher risk to the Bank. The analyst will provide superior support to all departments of BSA/AML and may also provide support to the Fraud department, as requested. The analyst must be able to work in a collaborative environment as well as manage multiple demands and deadlines. They must keep abreast with current and emerging money laundering and financial crime trends along with understanding the Risk Appetite of the Bank to manage, identify, and adjust to the changing BSA/AML risk landscape which includes the ability to structure “outside of the box” solutions. Key Accountabilities
Monitors performance of BSA AML systems/models
Daily support of the bank's transaction monitoring system and other models, which includes monitoring the import of data, monitoring of alert generation, and resolution of data import issues
Daily support of the Customer Risk Rating (CRR) model such as job completion, file downloads and error resolution
Automate reports and processes of all areas of BSA/AML to create efficiencies
Collaborate with all members of the BSA/AML Systems and IT partners on all BSA/AML System upgrades and patches
Perform periodic and ongoing data validation of BSA/AML System data imports to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data
Perform periodic and ongoing data validation of the CRR model and other models to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness
Adheres to corporate change management processes and prepares sound documentation to support such changes
Develop new processes or reports to support BSA/AML/OFAC programs
Development of reports and queries to support all BSA/AML teams based upon business requirements
Assist with the development of new suspicious activity monitoring agents which may include development of SQL statements for implementation
Assist with the development of new data imports or changes to data imports, as needed
Provide support to BSA AML departments and corporate teams
Assist with testing related to mergers and divestitures and with corporate projects and initiatives that impact BSA/AML Systems, including the CRR Model
Assist with data needs for BSA/AML Risk Assessment and any examinations
