This position is responsible for loading and unloading products in and out of automated glass handling equipment by way of hand, forklift, and/or platform lift in a 24/7 operation. Rotating 12 Hour Shifts (2/2/3 Schedule) Dayshift 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM ($20 - $22/hr. D.O.E., plus overtime) Graveyard 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM ($22 - $24/hr. D.O.E., plus overtime) Earn up to $75,000 (D.O.E.) in the first year with monthly profit sharing potential and the opportunity for company contributions to 401K, while only working 15 - 16 days a month on average. WHAT YOU'LL DO: As a Production Technician you'll perform work activities in relation to the cutting, coating, fabrication, assembly and tempering of glass products. You'll focus on the quality and timely delivery of completed tasks and adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Read tags to verify glass type, color, and size. Ensure minimal breakage and acceptable levels of quality. This position is responsible for work site preparation, transporting paints, tools and materials to job area, and setting up of ladders and scaffolding. Work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor while doing paint jobs, varnishing, enameling, staining or lacquering both interior and exterior surfaces of articles. Removing previously applied paint, and use epoxy compounds, putty or other suitable filling materials to fill breaks or cracks, nail holes and joints found in surfaces of articles to be painted. This position is responsible for repairs, rebuilds, maintenance, tracking and documentation of the vacuum coater and custom tempering lines, plus general facilities maintenance and repair (as needed). Cathode Technician Department: Coater Process Department Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM (Mandatory overtime during scheduled maintenance periods) We are seeking a versatile and dependable technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys firsthand work, has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Media Blasting Duties: Operate and maintain media blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal parts. Maintain sand/media hopper with clean blasting material. Document repairs and maintenance activities. Track inventory and ensure timely ordering of parts. Keep work area clean and organized daily. Follow timekeeping procedures and lunch break policies. Cathode Maintenance Duties: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair large-area coater systems and supporting infrastructure (vacuum, power, cooling, control) Service rotary and planar cathodes used in magnetron-assisted PVD processes. WHAT YOU'LL DO: As a Production Technician you'll perform work activities in relation to the cutting, coating, fabrication, assembly and tempering of glass products. You'll focus on the quality and timely delivery of completed tasks and adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Read tags to verify glass type, color, and size. Ensure minimal breakage and acceptable levels of quality. Quality inspection of all products Perform clean-up of work area Ensure safety and productivity goals are regularly met. MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to work in a fast environment. Good Hand/Eye coordination and attention to detail Physical stamina to handle the demands of often standing for long periods of time. Able to regularly lift up to 50lbs. Wear PPE as required, including steal toe work boots. Withstand varying hot/cool temperature fluctuations of a manufacturing environment. Pass pre-employment background, physical & drug screening process. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be flexible to work overtime as needed which could include occasional weekend shift work. Responsibilities: Building Maintenance - Performs general facility repairs such as minor plumbing, general electric, lighting, painting, and wall repair. Assists other Mechanics with all major repairs and tenant improvement work as requested. Communicate with all peers, customers, and management to accomplish assigned and critical tasks. Oversees Third Party project completion. Conveyor System - Supports and performs reactive repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of equipment. Troubleshoots facility specific system controls and adjusts/calibrates or repairs as needed. Works with vendor partners to determine the root cause of issues and appropriate corrections. Oversee production-related issues and makes necessary corrections as needed. Equipment Maintenance - Performs preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Vehicles, and building equipment as needed. Maintains complete inventory and cleaning of all equipment and work areas. Identifies and corrects safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical. Supports the design and implementation of continuous improvement processes. Electrical - Performs trouble-shooting and needed tasks involving low and high voltage electrical and control systems of 480 volt devices (AC and DC), including repair or replacement of system components. Communicate with all peers, customers, and management regarding safety issues and training requirements. Also, Participates in safety audits and adheres to the company's safety culture. Fabrication - Utilize materials and tools to design/create/repair custom equipment to support Cardinal's operation (i.e., wood, metal, etc.). This position is responsible for pulling and staging of product to be shipped. Loading and unloading trucks and able to enter related information into our shipping or receiving program in E1. Schedule varies depending on business needs. Essential Job Functions Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jack in a safe fashion. Must have basic computer skills to enter loads into E1. Document all shipments and or loads received. Document daily equipment checklists. Able to communicate with outside carriers and help accommodate their needs to get loaded or unloaded in a timely manner. Work with other team members to complete work assignments. (loading and unloading trucks) Must be flexible to schedule changes to accommodate business needs. Must make sure lunch is taken before the fifth hour. Able to work with little or no supervision. Able to carry and slot glass to its corresponding location. Non-essential Job Functions Willingness to help in any department to cover business needs. Willingness to progress to the next level and learn other job functions in the department. Requirements The ability to adhere to the company's policies, rules and regulations, according to the employee's handbook. Must be certified in house on forklift and pallet jack.
