Job Summary
As an Oldcastle Machine Operator, you will operate manual and/or automated machinery in a fast-pace, covered and uncovered manufacturing environment, perform preventive maintenance, set up production machinery and ensure proper machine performance, making a quality product for our customers.
Job Responsibilities
* Observe equipment operation and components, such as sensors, limit switches, proximity switches, conveyor belts, and photo eyes, to detect machine malfunction
* Operate equipment to optimum efficiency to meet quality, cost and operational requirements of daily schedules
* Notify management of any production, safety, quality or environmental concerns with equipment, operation or facility
* Knowledge of bagging specifications, ranges, targets to meet quality standards
* Daily cleanup of production work area with assistance from other personnel
* Understand and complete daily production forms accurately
* Perform routine maintenance of production equipment to include lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
* Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
* 3+ years of related experience in trades specific to job requirements; or equivalent
* High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Working knowledge of safety principles, such as lock-out/tag-out
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear
* The employee will be required to sit for extended periods of time
* The employee may frequently stand on their feet
* The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from the ground level. The need to lift over 65lbs may arise from time to time - should this be the case, employees should engage in team lifting and/or use the provided equipment to safely lift
* The employee must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and your whole body - bending, crouching, climbing - using steps and ladders, pushing pulling, stooping and reaching
* Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals

Cargo Wood Level 1 is responsible for cutting and installing plywood for trailer floors, walls, and doors according to production specifications. This role also includes applying undercoating to the trailer to ensure durability and compliance with quality standards. The position requires attention to detail, safe use of tools and equipment, and adherence to production schedules.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cut and install plywood for trailer floors and walls.
Adhere to high-quality and control standards.
Pull trailers to the undercoat enclosure using a Kubota and hoist to spray trailers with undercoat paint in order of production schedule.
Cross-training in other production roles to support the team as needed.
Must perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow all safety rules.
Demonstrated ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Experience with tools such as drywall screw gun, table saw, jig saw, miter saw, and general hand tools.
Ability to operate a paint spray gun.
Ability to wear a respirator mask.
Ability to drive a Kubota and operate a hoist.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds at times.
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods.
Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, push, pull and/or carry materials.

The Machine Operator ensures the safe and efficient production of molded OES products within customer specifications and prepares products for shipping.
Job Responsibilities
Reviews the production specifications of each product SKU scheduled for production prior to shift and asks clarifying questions
Removes product from machine in adherence with machine cycle time to maintain scheduled production
Trims, files or cuts excess flash from the product using required tools in accordance with product specifications
Inspects each piece to ensure that it meets quality standards and customer specifications
Advises a supervisor of product quality issues, packing damage or inconsistencies in a timely manner to limit production loss
Installs or assembles any additional component in accordance with order specifications
Maintains a high level of awareness of surroundings and communicates issues or concerns that could potentially interfere with production or create an unsafe work environment
Labels, packages, and stacks finished product in preparation for transfer to shipping
Adheres to all established safety procedures and advise supervisor of any potential safety hazards or concerns
Maintains a clean and organized workstation always to ensure the safety of self and others
