I work at their woodworks, and it’s a friendly environment with competent management.
Corporate seems to have some kind of distain for paying their Full-time employees a livable wage. And upward mobility is next to nonexistent.
If I made enough money to pay the co-pay, the insurance is really good. And I get a lot of free firewood From scraps we throw away so that’s nice.
Pay the employees enough to encourage long-term employment and reward those who take initiative with further raises in pay until Their compensation appropriately matched their contribution.
I read up on the company and the woodwork a little bit but I already had an extensive carpentry background. I was able to talk shop with the man who would become my boss
Carpenters in general aren’t getting paid very well right now so I feel like comparing to the industry average is disingenuous. I would say slightly below average though
The woodwork hires virtually anybody who applies, and keeps anybody who is willing to work hard. I would say there is more diversity in my workplace than I would expect for working in Utah.
Getting work done quickly, efficiently, at high-quality, and without any drama. Working efficiently with my coworkers to output product as efficiently as possible
