Kristen Sosa is an industry leader with broad skills and experience and has been successfully leading in merchandising and digital for twenty-five years. In her current role as Chief Merchant of Olivela, she is innovating retail through a mission based model that has grown to over 450 luxury brands across fashion, beauty & wellness, and home in just three years. Olivela launched in 2017 and is a disruptive, socially-conscious fashion platform that donates 20% of proceeds to important issues such as girls education, female empowerment, sustainability, and crisis response. They have launched innovative, experiential pop-ups in markets such as Aspen, Nantucket, and the Hamptons. In July 2019, Olivela closed on a $35M Series A round of financingPrior to joining Olivela at it’s launch, Kristen spent over twenty years with Saks Fifth Avenue, holding pivotal roles in merchandising and digital. Her time with Saks spanned across full line, digital and off price where she managed strategic relationships with brands, led the launch of the Saks Off Fifth website, the acquisition of Gilt Groupe, and successfully built and developed large teams with strong cultures. Kristen is one of 200 founding members of Chief, a private network focused on connecting and supporting leaders that launched earlier last year. Strategy, leadership, growth, brand positioning, customer experience, data & analytics, culture, and philanthropy are key strengths and experiences.

Matthew Alland is a Chief Experience Officer & Head of Marketing at Olivela and is based in New York City, New York. He has worked as Senior Manager at ACME Business Consulting, Senior Relationship Manager at TruLogica, and Camp Counselor at Camp Starlight. Matthew works or has worked as Lifeline Counselor at The Trevor Project and Teacher at Etafeni Day Care Centre Trust. He attended Tulane University.
