Day and night shifts available, including 4x10-hour days (07:00-17:30) and 3x12-hour nights (19:00-07:30)
Scheduled weekday shifts are 12 hours, night call shifts are 8 hours (23:00-07:00), and weekend shifts/call are 12 hours
Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule
Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
Epic EMR is used and experience is required
Strict rules govern requested time off; RTO must be submitted with application and cannot be altered after submission
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers; no mile radius restriction
Assignment length is a minimum of 13 weeks, with the potential for longer contracts
Must be able to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements as scheduled
Requirements
Active unencumbered OR RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Required to titrate drips including propofol, levophed, dobutamine, precedex, fentanyl, insulin, esmolol, versed, and ketamine
Uses Epic EMR system; experience preferred
12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); 2 week block schedule; typically grouped 3-4 shifts in a row
Every other weekend required
May be required to float to IMCU or MS units with full assignment; may assist in ED depending on previous ED experience
No call or standby requirements
Responsibilities include ICU-level patient care, titrating drips, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Charge nurse supervises MS, IMCU, and ICU units; does not take a patient assignment unless necessary
Nurse aids shared with Med/Surg unit; monitor techs support the unit
Hospitalist onsite 24/7; intensivist in-house weekdays, telemedicine coverage after hours and weekends
RT available in the ICU 24/7; responsible for respiratory treatments
Unit/department orientation consists of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
Expected to work holidays if they fall on scheduled shifts; may enter holiday rotation
Dress code allows any color scrubs; must maintain clean, professional appearance with natural hair colors and no visible face tattoos
Requirements
Active OR RN license required
Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Preferred but not required: TNCC and PALS certifications
Must be comfortable reading and interpreting tele strips with Mindray monitors

Epic EMR is used for all charting and is required experience
No on-call or floating requirements, though floating may be requested if skill set allows
RNs are responsible for reading and verifying telemetry strips in coordination with monitor techs
Support structure includes charge nurse and 24/7 hospital supervisor
Orientation consists of 1-2 shifts based on experience and prior assignments
Holiday coverage is required based on unit needs
Clean, professional attire is required-no specific scrub color mandated
Securing housing with pets in the area may be very difficult

Maximum nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5 on nights
Night shifts from 1900-0730 with every other weekend required
Unit uses MEDITECH EMR
RN is occasionally required to titrate drips such as heparin and Bumex
Support available from both charge nurse and house supervisor on all shifts
RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices available
Telemetry monitored by CCU staff with the tele board visible to Med/Surg staff
RNs may be asked to float as "helping hands" to other departments if not fully cross-trained
On low census, RNs must be able to report within 30 minutes of being called in
RNs typically manage less than the maximum assigned patients due to strong staffing ratios
Unit provides 3-6 orientation shifts, with additional time as needed
Navy blue scrubs required for all shifts
Holiday work requirements are negotiable
RNs may care for general pediatric patients in addition to adults
May apply for the Oregon 90-Day Emergency License if not currently licensed in Oregon
Requirements
