Responsibilities
Work as a charge nurse in an ICU float pool across multiple hospital sites within a 60-mile zone
Float among various ICU types, including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU, and may also support PCU/Stepdown and Med-Surg Tele units
Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1-2 depending on acuity, with 1:1 for high acuity cases such as CRRT, IABP, or Impella
Patients include a broad range of general ICU cases and high-acuity critical care needs

Flexible floating required within the designated travel zone and to affiliated hospitals

Work in an acute care setting as part of the ICU Charge Float Pool covering multiple ICU types including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Assigned to night shifts (12 hours), with 6-9 weekend shifts required in each 6-week schedule
Patient assignments range from 1:1-2 depending on acuity, and may flex to 1:3 as needed
Must float within a designated 60-mile zone (Denver/Zone 3) and may be assigned to different affiliated hospitals
Provides care for a general combination of ICU patients and may respond to codes and rapid responses throughout the hospital
RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
Epic EMR is used; Epic experience required for first-time travelers
Orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor
Charge nurses typically do not take assignments unless necessary; more common for night shift charge to have a small patient assignment
No nurse aides are available; sitter support only
Travelers are responsible for securing housing within a 60-mile radius to allow for floating between affiliate facilities
All time off requests must be submitted before the assignment begins
May be asked to participate in the holiday rotation as needed
Dress code allows for any color scrubs
First time travelers are eligible if they meet the experience and Epic requirements
Candidates cannot have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI or Dignity facility as a direct employee within the past year
Rare on-call requirements for low census situations
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience and prior charge nurse experience are required

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a CO or compact license and recent ICU experience for a day shift travel assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in an adult ICU/CCU unit
Assignment is located in a hospital setting
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Care for critically ill adult patients
Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Reference requirements vary by state; one reference required for CO
No local candidates accepted
Requirements
Active RN license for CO or compact state required
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
At least 2 years of clinical experience in the specialty preferred
Certifications required: BLS and ACLS from AHA or ARC
NIH Stroke Certification required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a seasonal Neuro Med Surg position on night shift in Colorado, requiring a current CO or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Neuro Med Surg unit of a hospital setting
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Assignment length is 13 weeks
Care for neurology and medical-surgical patient populations
RN will provide care to patients on the Neuro Med Surg unit during overnight hours
Holiday coverage may be required based on assignment needs
First time travelers will be considered for this position
Requirements
Active CO or compact RN license required
Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg/Neuro experience
Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
