SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM * Reports to Food & Beverage Venue Manager and Hotel Manager * Supports the Food & Beverage team * Summer seasonal, part-time position. RESPONSIBILITIES * Welcome all guest upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner * Make and serve drinks to guests and servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by OLS Hotels and Resorts standards. * Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction. * Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by OLS Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures. * Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists. * Know and comply with state liquor laws. * Ensure established pars are maintained. * Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules. * Attend to bar and tables, take orders and deliver in a timely manner. * Bus tables and set in a timely manner. * Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently. * Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards, for mixing, portion control and presentation. * Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner. * Ensure the bar, lounge, lobby and event areas are kept clean and tidy. * Be familiar with the computer POS system. * Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest. * Follow all state liquor laws and assigned training is required. * Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary, report to management. * ServSafe and ABC online training required for the role. * Stock and clean glassware. * Check soda tanks to ensure that they are full and secured properly to the bar. * Prepare all garnishes. * Prepare juices and syrups for bar service. * Change kegs and soda bibs. * Assist in cleaning of tables and all lounge area as needed. * Ensure overall guest satisfaction. * Deliver food to guests. * Knowledge of both food and drink menu to offer guests suggestions and upsell, * Knowledge of what all hotel food and beverage options are and be able to quality control all items served to guests. * Follow hotel handbook protocols. * Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
