Primary mission:
As our Food Runner/Busser, you are responsible for providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation.
SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM
Reports to Director of Food & Beverage, Food & Beverage Supervisor, and Lead Server
Supports food & beverage team, catering, events, pool & bar
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to walk and stand for during entire shift while approaching and servicing guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, friendly, courteous and professional manner. Reports all issues and complaints to management.
Clear, clean and reset tables as needed and perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors to ensure that restaurant area and hallways are free from service debris and that all room service trays are brought back to the kitchen for breakdown and bussing.
Assist in cleaning and polishing glassware and silverware..
Ensure service areas are always reset quickly, correctly, and in a presentable fashion.
Be familiar with the organization of the restaurant and lounge and know the function of each job position as well as having a thorough knowledge of menus and specials in the restaurant.
Perform opening and closing procedures, and side work duties according to station rotation assignment to ensure tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean.
Follow all state liquor laws.
Have a Riverside County Food Handler's Card
Handle food and beverage service, as required. Carry coffee pots and beverages throughout the room, refilling guests' cups and glasses as needed or requested.
Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly and must be able to evaluate and select among alternative course of action quickly and accurately.
Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Must be effective in listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests and fellow associates.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions to carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and servicing the guest and use the POS/Micros system in the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with property standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Coordinate with Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Supervisor work priorities, provide assistance and perform other duties as requested by management, and attend meetings as required by management.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
Prior Experience:
1+ Previous restaurant and hospitality experience preferred.
IT Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
Education:
High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
Subject Expertise:
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.

Rate of pay is $11.70 per hour plus tips; however, 'effective rate of pay' will be discussed at interview. In other words, what this bartending position has paid historically.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Previous bartending experience required.
A working knowledge of bar related beverages, spirits, wine and beer.
A working knowledge of the most common cocktails and mixed drinks
Food Handler's Certification as as well as AZ Title 4 Alcohol Server Certification
Possesses a passion for exceeding Member expectations and a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest quality Member and guest experience.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to recipes approved by the Bartender Supervisor.
Issue checks for drinks served via electronic input system.
Maintain daily inventory of liquors, beers, wines
Maintain cleanliness in bar area including cleaning equipment and keeping glasses polished.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Lift 20 lbs. over head.
Be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
Be able to use a point of sale system, computer, calculator, credit card machine.
High customer volume at times

What You'll Do
As a Bar Back, you will play a vital role in supporting the bartenders by ensuring they have everything they need to craft exceptional drinks and deliver top-tier service. Your mission is to keep the bar stocked, organized, and running smoothly while maintaining THE ONE GROUP's high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist bartenders with restocking liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and bar supplies
Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service
Change kegs, replenish ice, and maintain proper glassware levels
Ensure all juices, syrups, and mixers are prepped and ready for service
Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after service
Support bartenders by retrieving specialty items and handling guest requests
Maintain knowledge of cocktail ingredients and bar procedures to assist with service
Clean and polish bar equipment, glassware, and utensils to uphold our presentation standards
Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring sanitation and cleanliness behind the bar
Assist with inventory control and waste reduction to maximize efficiency

With a genuinely friendly customer service attitude, describe the menu and daily specials, take orders, accurately report orders to the kitchen, serve food timely, calculate the bill and ensure customers have everything they need to enjoy their meal.

Work Environment
This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. Typically, fast paced and sometimes chaotic dining room experience, especially during the busiest hours
