Responsibilities: Fulfilling transfer orders from other branches and keeping track of materials and inventory Load transfer shipments at the appropriate scheduled times Process and stage all tagged material to be placed in designated areas Complete cycle count for assigned areas Perform daily housekeeping practices for assigned work areas Assist in all warehouse or delivery duties on an as-needed basis Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team or senior management Required Skills: Attention to detail Accountability Motivation to complete tasks independently Able to work independently or in a team setting Problem-solving skills Ability to multitask Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with approved clean driver vehicle report Forklift certification is preferred but not required No history of drug or alcohol abuse Provide current health card Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs. or more Ability to climb, crouch, and grasp Ability to listen and speak clearly

Lumber Handler I Loudonville, Ohio Background: Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer serving furniture, cabinets, molding, and millwork segments worldwide. We operate manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Lumber Handler I. Responsibilities include: * Handling, sorting, and stacking rough-cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade * Working in open warehouses and keeping work areas safe and clean * Physical ability to safely transfer lumber from the production line to the lumber cart. * Banding runners to lumber packs. * Keeping work areas safe and clean. * Basic paperwork knowledge Requirements include: * Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude, and work well in a team environment * Must have and maintain an excellent attendance record per Policy * Work at a fast pace and be an oriented team player * Pre-employment physical and drug screen required * Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis * Always required to wear personal protective equipment * Participate in job rotation and cross-training in other production-related jobs to build other skills * An all-around positive work attitude at all times Education * High school or GED equivalent, or 18 years of age Work Schedules: * Four 10-hour shifts 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday At Northwest Hardwoods, we offer a formal paid training program and review process.
