Omega Morgan is seeking heavy haul drivers and regular CDL drivers in our Portland, Salt Lake City, and Houston locations. The ideal candidate will have rigging experience with a Class A CDL. They will operate the multi-axle and combination trailers and heavy spec trucks as directed by dispatch, also they will be required to load, unload, tie-down all required freight as needed, read permits and understand over-dimensional laws and routes. The heavy haul driver will work as an essential part of the rigging team on any given job.
Essential Functions
Plan, organize all loads and trips to maximize time and resources.
Work in cooperation with Operations and dispatch a team to ensure customer satisfaction each and every time.
Effectively communicate with dispatch on a regular basis.
Manage risk and liability from the field and communicate any issues back to the operations team.
Drive up to ten hours a day, in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations.
Maintains vehicles and equipment and reports on the machinery.
Conducts pre and post-trip checks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Well-versed in rigging but still willing to learn things not in expertise. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or other equipment.
Clean yard, pick up equipment/tools without being told by dispatch or senior management.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment, are properly positioned.
Interact with customers in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Respond to customer complaints and issues in a calm and professional manner.
Abide by all DOT regulations, including hours of service.
Able to operate heavy oversized loads safely through various types of terrain.
Approach every job with the task of simultaneously maximizing profit and minimizing risk.
Know and enforce the safety policy and set an example at all times.
Accurately document all mileage and service hours in a driver's daily log.
Ensure cleanliness by inspecting prior to loading and once unloaded.
Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

Required Experience
3 years of CDL driving experience required, heavy haul preferred.
A valid Class A CDL.

Ability to read and process permits and paperwork.
Able to tie equipment down per DOT requirements.
Available to work 40 hours a week with overtime and travel when necessary.
Prompt and reliable with excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate issues that need attention.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and follow up with little direction.
Experience in machinery moving, rigging, and other industrial work preferred, but not required.

Works out of town, on weekends, and works overtime as needed.

• Perform meter shop activities including operating all test equipment, refurbishing all alternating current meters, programming, software interface with electronic meters and meter database support.
• Maintain the meter stock.

• Do distribution testing as needed, including investigating customers' complaints regarding voltage fluctuations, high bills etc. This will often require discussing the results of the investigation with the customer.

Summary:

Job Overview
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and safety of PGE's thermal generation assets, serving as the primary engineering authority supporting Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), conventional auxiliary boilers for process steam production, and high-energy piping systems. DUTIES: (Essential Job Responsibilities)
• Work safely
• Construct and maintain dead or energized overhead and underground transmission and distribution circuits Install and remove all types of transformers, arresters, fuses, cutouts, switches, and street-lighting equipment.
• Drive articulated boom trucks, ladder trucks, hole-digging and pole-setting equipment, and other equipment associated with distribution and transmission work.
• Perform pole-top rescue as needed.
• Climb poles to perform work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Journeyman Lineman card required.

Summary:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in Analysis, Design, Development and maintenance of Workday. All experience and requirements may be gained concurrently after achievement of the degree.
Compensation for role differs from below: $177,861
Compensation Range:
$99,975.00 - $166,625.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Assists in yard
Aligns levels and anchors machinery.
Attaches loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving by using hand and power tools.
Riggers with CDL: Conducts pre and post-trips and drives tractors and trailers in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
JOB DUTIES
Obtains necessary training and safety certifications to complete tasks.
Attends rigging class as required.
Works closely with the Foreman and crews to learn the process of moving machinery and items of size and weight.
Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.
Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
Manipulates rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment.
Obtains knowledge of equipment uses and follows procedures (IE procedure for equipment placement on trailers for loading and off-loading; equipment tie-down procedures
Learns and understand tools required for the job and the purpose of the tools.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Works out of town, on weekends, and works overtime as needed.
Keeps a flexible schedule and is able to travel (up to 50% of the time).
Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Signals or verbally directs workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety.
Reads and creates drawings and lifting plans.
Completed necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
Uses basic and advanced rigging techniques.
Dismantles and stores rigging equipment after use.
When released by the foreman or at the end of the day, checks with Dispatch for more duties.
Uses job-appropriate PPE.
Works onsite at customer locations, as needed
Respectfully takes direction from supervisor.
Performs all duties to the best of their ability, faithfully, intellectually, safely in the best interest of the company.
Requirements:
Holds a Valid CDL.
Current DOT Medical Card.
Familiarity with DOT Federal and State regulations.
Ability to tie equipment down per the DOT requirements.
Clean MVR
