Overview:

Project Team Support:
Schedule and attend Project Turnover Meetings
Follow up on to/do items from turnover meeting

Responsible for overall effective communication with all parties involved in the construction process

Draft and gather change order quotes
Build and maintain customer relationships and satisfaction
Administrative and Document Control:
Set up job folder in systems (shared drives and eSub)
Upload contracts, proposals, estimates and budget into accessible eSub folders
Create spec book and drawings for field and office
Draft and submit RFI's after PM review
Update warranty info spreadsheet
Update drawings/models and keep the current running set
Material and Equipment Management:
Request, organize, review, and send submittals
Create and maintain equipment tracker based on current project documents
Release equipment as needed with PM approval
Fixture/GRD takeoff - to compare against takeoffs from Foreman prior to release
Project Closeout:
Schedule and attend Kick Finish Meeting for the project at 80% complete
Coordinates with QA/QC, BIM, Prefab Designer, Prefab, and Warehouse
Assemble and organize all O&M's and assist with closeout (Start Up, Owner's Training, Extra Stock, redlines, commissioning, LEED requirements)
Schedule, attend and document Project Completion Meeting
Project Documentation:
Ensure that all project communication is properly documented
Request inspections and documents appropriately
Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management Degree is preferred
2 years of experience in Construction Industry
Experience in trade positions or college internships is desired but not required
Advanced computer skills required, with a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of CAD, Bluebeam, Revit, Trimble, or similar programs is desired but not required
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in and around construction job sites as well as in office settings
Must be able to meet deadlines and effectively and professionally communicate via phone, email, business writing, and verbal and have strong listening skills

Job Title Journeyman Pipefitter
Location: Louisville, CO
Reports to: Labor Managers and on-site Field Foreman
Overview:
The Journeyman Pipefitter ensures the Safety of those we work with and around, the Quality of the services we provide, and the realization of our Profitability goals as it specifically relates to the commercial installation, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of mechanical piping systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet all requirements of a 4-year Apprentice
Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the commercial HVAC/piping industry
Direct the activities of field crew member(s) in accordance with job schedules and priorities as coordinated with the project manager/customer/general contractor and field foreman as applicable
Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors as required
Responsible for ordering stock or fabricated materials as far in advance as possible either personally or through the site foreman to ensure completion of assigned tasks
Responsible for physical job site organization and housekeeping to ensure a safe professional work area
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment
Responsible for the accurate accounting of labor hours to the accounting department, material sheets, change orders, etc.
Responsible for instruction and on-the-job training of apprentices/crew members which includes emphasis on safety
Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards. Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work ensuring quality standards are being met
Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time
Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy
Promote Design Mechanical's business values and culture
Promote proper use of company assets
Regular and predictable attendance is expected to meet the requirements of this position
Other duties as assigned within the Piping Department
Requirements:
4-year apprenticeship certificate or 4 years of field experience
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction pipefitting practices and safety procedures
Working knowledge of all relevant national and local codes and company and industry standards
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining necessary licensing/certification for performing work in areas where such is required
Journeyman tools
Reliable transportation to and from work required

Job Description:
Reporting to the Labor Manager, the Field Foreman will carry out all directives from the respective Labor Manager and work closely with the Project Team to ensure all projects are completed according to the project documents, adhering to the project budget and the planned schedule. This position is also responsible for understanding all aspects of project documentation and installation of their respective trades.
Responsibilities:
Work with the project team to ensure we are familiar with contract inclusions, scope of work, proposal, and any accepted value engineering options
Know your plans, specifications, contract schedule, and budget
Ensure your team is familiar with and using the most current set of contract documents, including all mechanical/plumbing details
Be familiar with budgeted hours and work with the project manager and team members to identify and implement any cost-saving strategies. Work with the project manager for change order pricing, ensuring we are capturing all costs. Utilize prefabrication. Know and understand your crew cost
Make sure you are aware of schedule changes and make necessary adjustments to manpower and material needs. Work directly with the project manager to develop and maintain a 3-week manpower look ahead and update weekly
Ensure Design Mechanical's core values are always implemented and that the company's safety policies and procedures are always followed
Ensure that systems are installed to the highest degree of quality and functionality
Maintain a positive working relationship with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Provide solutions when called upon. Deliver a quality product on time and within budget

Ensure crews are properly laid out, organized, and productive

Take an active role in the BIM/CAD process:
If the project is modeled, work closely with the CAD department to ensure we are using the right products and producing a buildable model
Create a prefabrication plan with the prefab coordinator and the fab shop.
Create and maintain a batching schedule with the CAD department and the fab shop
Be sure we are using the most current information from the BIM coordination and always reference contract drawings
Implement and maintain a QA/QC plan. Ensure that all systems are installed per plans, specifications, and current and local codes
Ensure all systems requiring testing are tested and documented
Ensure that all systems are installed to the highest quality and functionality standards
Ensure that project is properly documented with daily reports, pressure testing reports, enter crew members' time, disciplinary actions, etc.
Maintain accurate as-built drawings throughout the project
Request appropriate inspections and documents appropriately
Qualifications:
Minimum Journeyman license in respective trade (Plumbing/Piping)
Foreman will have 3-5+ years of experience running commercial mechanical projects ranging from $1-10M in value
Computer skills required, with a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Effective interpersonal skills are required for a strong representation of DMI customers as well as employees
Valid CO Driver's License and Clear MVR
