Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for working with the estimating team to meet deadlines.
Analyze and track; hit ratios, productivity rates and pricing metrics

Attend Pre-Bid meetings, taking detailed and thorough notes relating to meeting discussion, existing conditions, and other bid requirements.
Review specifications, drawings, and all contract documents in their entirety to determine the scope of work and subsequent required estimate content.
Complete detailed take-offs for projects, accounting for all materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractors. Maintain detailed bid files for each project with all addenda, clarifications, project specific pricing, and other associated bidding documents.
Prepare budget pricing for customers' projects, as required.
Maintain system of in-house material pricing and labor value estimates used in bidding process, ensuring material pricing on file reflects the latest vendor supplied information, and labor value estimates are periodically updated to incorporate trends seen in previously completed work.
Review design options and recommend value engineering alternatives based on cost and quality.
Prepare formal proposals and participate in presentations to owners when necessary.
Maintain organized records of all bids and bid results.
Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications
The Lead Estimator must possess a thorough knowledge of the HVAC & Plumbing construction estimating process.
A Bachelor's Degree in a construction or engineering related field is preferred.
An Associate Degree in such fields would also be acceptable, provided the applicant has a high level of documented field and\or estimating experience in the HVAC & Plumbing industry.
The Lead estimator must be capable of efficient interpretation of project drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and must be familiar with basic Mechanical principles, and currently used products. Mastery of basic office software packages, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project, is required. Experience with estimating software package is preferred.
Business development experience with both large and small construction customers including general contractors, construction managers, architectural & engineering firms, and major developers preferred.
Experience with software packages including Office 365 or greater, MS Office Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat; Bluebeam, Building Connected, FastEst, AutoCAD, Revit
Strong construction management knowledge.

Maintains and repairs plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains. Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures; test joints and pipe systems for leaks, open clogged drains, measure, cut, thread, bend, ream and install pipe and pipe fittings. As A Plumbing Superintendent you will be responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects and will be managing project needs including but not limited to materials, personnel, schedules and communication with project management team, customers and building officials.
Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Working knowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings) and in-house shop drawings; and would also be able to utilize these documents to coordinate work on site with other trades.
Complete required electronic documentation and diligently process daily reports, next week plans, accident reports and disciplinary reports.
Run and manage large scale commercial plumbing/piping construction projects including ability to oversee multiple jobsites simultaneously.
Proven experience managing multiple crews from Foreman to Helper/ General Laborer personnel.
Proven ability to coordinate with other trades to complete plumbing/piping scope of work within project schedule.
Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment on their job sites
Proven ability to plan ahead.
Understands the flow of the project and can communicate with the operations or project manager on current or future labor needed on the job.
Understanding / complies with the company tool policy and can pass these values to less experienced employees.
Able to install plumbing systems and related materials with the use of hand tools and power tools, as needed.
Ability to operate equipment and machinery to complete plumbing related tasks.
Able to work from ladders, manlifts and other equipment at various heights.
Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications
5 years of experience running and managing commercial plumbing construction projects preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience overseeing job site personnel - foreman through helper/ general laborers.
Experience completing required documentation electronically.
Master license in trade in corresponding state preferred.
OSHA 30 hour preferred.
Additional Requirements
Must complete company specific welding, soldering and/or brazing test for employment.
Requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude.
