Onestream company history timeline

2010

After staying with the company, he left to start OneStream in 2010 aiming to fix the problems that diverse accounting systems presented for financial executives trying to close their books, plan, budget, forecast, and analyze accounting data.

2013

Following his passion for technology enablement for finance and finance process, he joined Hyperion’s Consulting Services to lead and design EPM solutions, and continued consulting as a Management Consultant at the Hackett Group until he joined OneStream in 2013.

2014

Prior to OneStream, Chad spent 4 years at Mobile Device Management startup, MobileIron, as they worked to successfully go public in 2014.

Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of HubSpot, the inbound marketing and sales SaaS company, where he led a successful IPO in 2014 and saw the company grow from $80 million to $500 million and to over a $6 billion market cap.

2015

Chad joined OneStream in August of 2015 as the first salesperson dedicated to the Central United States.

2016

Mark joined OneStream in 2016 and has taken Information Services from its infancy to an organization capable of supporting a fast growing volume of customers and employees.

2017

As he said, in its fiscal year ending January 2017, Anaplan had $120 million in revenue, was growing at 75%, added 250 customers for a total of 700, employed over 700 people in 16 offices in 12 countries, had raised a total of $240 million in capital, and generated good cash flow.

In December 2017, he transitioned to Executive Chairman for health reasons.

2018

Back in July 2018 — three months before its IPO — CEO Frank Calderoni told me that Anaplan had enjoyed very rapid growth the year before.

Holly joined the OneStream Legal Team in December of 2018, bringing with her over a decade of broad legal experience.

In 2018, OneStream grew its revenue by 137% and expanded its customer base by 66%. Shea told the Journal that its platform “enables finance professionals to complete reporting and planning tasks from a single platform.”

2019

In February 2019, KKR invested over $500 million in OneStream, valuing the company at over $1 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal.

As he told Crane’s, the deal helped the company hire Bill Koefoed as CFO in November 2019 with a background at Microsoft MSFT -1.2% and other big technology firms.

2020

According to Gartner IT +0.7%, one of its customers wrote in June 2020, OneStream offers "an outstanding product! Genuine commitment to product development, customer satisfaction."

Johan joined OneStream early 2020 from IBM, where he over the past 12 years lead Sales teams across Europe for the IBM Analytics & Watson family and also helped evolve the IBM partner Ecosystem.

According to a press release, its fourth quarter 2020 bookings increase 67% from the year before and 2020 ARR popped 85%.

2022

Chad was promoted to SVP OneStream NA Sales in January of 2022.

OneStream has seen 33% growth in our customer base in 2022 reaching over 1000 customers globally.
