Summary The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical experience for therapists, student trainees, and the clinical program. Under minimal supervision, the clinical supervisor manages, leads and coordinates services to ensure mental health treatment services are provided in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment. Education/Licensing Requirements Education and/or Experience Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or relative field, or Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited college or university. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Prior behavioral health experience preferred. Must be a licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist) that is 2 years post-licensure, and will provide all Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required supervision to registered/waivered clinical staff in accordance with BBS requirements. Proof of: valid California driver's license and auto insurance, as well as proof of education are required. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Five years of clinical experience with therapists and student trainees, and greater clinical monitoring in a behavioral health office setting or related field with the following skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must be able to resolve cases promptly and efficiently, in an effective manner to provide clients the best outcome possible. · A strong work ethic, excellent writing and communication skills, a desire to succeed in the legal professional, work well in a fast-paced autonomous environment with a heavy workload, and come from a well-respected law school approved by the ABA law school in California. · Candidates must possess, plaintiff and civil defense litigation, employment law experience, or other areas of law as it relates to plaintiff and civil defense litigation. · Knowledge and understanding of the Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego County court systems is highly desirable. *REQUIREMENTS:* Ideal candidates will be able to confidently take and defend any type of Depositions (including experts and Persons Most Knowledgeable (“PMK”) and be able to handle all trial work-up. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with the Court, Opposing Counsel and clients. Prior jury trial experience is highly desirable. Must be flexible to make Court Appearances in both civil litigation and family law, including making physical appearances for restraining orders. The ideal candidate will have experience in Motion Practice, Trial Work, and possess Excellent Writing Skills and Analytical Skills. Experience in Breach of Contract, Employment Law, Real Estate Law, Construction Defect is highly desirable. Some Family Law experience is a plus to assist in overflow work arising from the Family Law Department. However, candidates with Family Law experience only need not apply.
