Aart J. de Geus is a co-founder of Synopsys, Inc., a provider of electronic design automation software and related services for semiconductor design companies, and currently serves as its Chairman of the Board of Directors and Co-Chief Executive Officer. Since 1986, Dr. de Geus has held various positions at Synopsys, including President, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Senior Vice President of Marketing, and has served as a member of its board of directors. From 1982 to 1986, Dr. de Geus was employed by the General Electric Company, a global infrastructure, finance and media company, where he was the Manager of the Advanced Computer-Aided Engineering Group. My objective is to focus on the security policies of a domestic airport by identifying the role of TSA agents, airline employees, and airport employees in the communication process to support effective airport security policies. My research documents the findings from a recently completed investigation- Ph.D. Dissertation of the predicament to what degree miscommunication among TSA, airline, and airport employees has an impact on the implementation of changes in airport security policy, particularly those policies regarding prohibited items that pass through security checkpoints
