The preferred candidate(s) would be capable of reading all modalities. Fellowship training and ability to perform light IR duties a plus, but not required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Cleans patients' rooms, common areas, offices, lavatories, halls food service areas, physician areas. Sweeps, mops, clean hallways, stairs and office spaces using 7 cleaning steps. Pulls Trash/ Linen from area. High dusts all horizontal surfaces in area Damp wipes/ spot cleans walls/ and checks while replenishing all dispensers in area. Cleans bathroom. Dust mops the entire area. Damp mops the entire area. Job Summary and Qualifications The Staff Technologist in Special Procedures will assume the responsibility in assisting with all examinations performed within the Special Procedures Room. They will be proficient at radiographic examination which requires thorough knowledge of positioning techniques, technical factors and anatomical factors. What you will do in this role: Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. Responsible for safe handling of equipment and films. Assesses patient's understanding of process and informed consent of invasive procedures. Job Summary and Qualifications The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. What you will do in this role: You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy. You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy. You will assist with placement of artificial airways. You will initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation. You will monitor patient for therapeutic response. You will notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response. You will assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients. You will respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required. What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Associate Degree Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner Rapides Regional Medical Center is a 350+ bed hospital and ER in Alexandria, Louisiana. Join a reputable, well-established and expanding independent group practice in Southern Louisiana covering several established health systems and imaging centers across Lafayette, St. Landry and Vermillion parishes. Our group practice of 12 members provides a multi-discipline approach of diagnostic, interventional, mammography and sub-specialty imaging across inpatient and outpatient hospitals and imaging centers. The preferred candidate(s) would be capable of reading all modalities. Fellowship training and ability to perform light IR duties a plus, but not required. Our group places high priority on working relationships, job satisfaction, and quality of life while maintaining a strong radiologist income. Call is light and equally shared amongst all members. We can offer an employed or partnership track position, remote or onsite, depending on the needs and qualifications of the candidate, and our compensation & benefits package are very competitive.
