Schedule & Availability This position follows a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, with required availability from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. At times when you are not yet assigned to a designated client, you may follow an administrative schedule from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. During this window, you'll stay engaged with administrative tasks from home and be ready to step into a school session if one becomes available. School-Based Role This role follows the school's academic calendar and includes unpaid breaks during periods such as Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer. During the school year, you'll play a vital role in supporting student success within their educational environments. What will you do? Execute all responsibilities and skills associated with the Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire for districts that require certification. Provide direct implementation of holistic, neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services to students in one-on-one and group settings within schools. Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs, aligning with the student's IEP and school goals. Work closely with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into the daily classroom routine and support students' engagement and learning. Support student development in communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care (e.g., toileting, hygiene, dressing) as appropriate to the school context. Utilize a strengths-based treatment approach developed in collaboration with the educational team. Collect data consistently on student progress and behaviors during each session and complete timely documentation, including session notes and incident reports. Participate in classroom observations, team meetings, and school-based training sessions as assigned. Implement proactive behavior support strategies and follow school safety and crisis protocols, including de-escalation and mandated reporting procedures.     Job Description The Behavior Management Specialist (Specialist) is responsible for assisting SED/NBD youth to develop, restore and/or maintain behaviors which make appropriate functioning in the community possible. The Specialist, in cooperation with the BMS Coordinator and with Clinical Oversight, creates a Service Plan to address client abhorrent behaviors. The Specialist employs the methods identified in the Service Plan to teach behavior-enhancing skills. The Specialist also functions as a member of the clinical team by providing positive reinforcement and employing therapeutic interventions. Behavior management services are delivered to clients up to age 21 who are in need of behavior management interventions which have been designed to avoid inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment and/or separation from family. In addition, Specialists provide supportive services following hospitalization or out-of-home placement as a means of transition designed to maintain the client in the least restrictive environment possible.

Job OverviewThe Community Support Specialist (CSS) works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team providing Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS), Behavioral Respite Care (RSP), and/or Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services. The CSS provides direct support, advocacy, and assistance to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. Services are provided to eligible recipients that meet New Mexico state criteria for Severe Mental Illness (SMI), Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), and Co-occurring Disorder (COD). The CSS helps clients and families achieve wellness, independence, and stability within their community by connecting them to services, encouraging skill development, and supporting their recovery goals. This role works collaboratively with behavioral health professionals, families, and other community resources and partners. General Responsibilities:● Knows, follows, and upholds TeamBuilders' philosophy, policies & procedures, and standards ofconduct.● Understands and complies with all program service requirements and State regulations forprovision of care to children with SED, adults with SMI, and individuals with COD including otherchronic health conditions.● Forms a helping partnership with clients and collateral practitioners including, but not limited to,educational professionals, corrections personnel, child welfare workers, and natural supports toaccomplish service goals and objectives.● Sets and maintains boundaries to assure the safety and protection of the client and to maintain aprofessional helping role.● Documents initial mental health or functional assessment identifying strengths, needs, andbarriers. Assessments are to be completed within 72hrs of service rendering.● Documents activities on service activity note and completes within 24hrs of service rendering.● Documents and updates service plans and team meeting forms as required. Service plans are tobe completed within 72hrs of service rendering.● Immediately seeks program and/or clinical supervision regarding incidents and fills out IncidentReports as per Agency policy and submits documentation in a timely manner.● Attends and participates in weekly supervision meetings, staff meetings, clinical seminars andtraining sessions, as assigned.● Responsible for initiation, completion, and updates or maintenance of client documentation inaccordance with agency and state/federal applicable standards.● Coordinates, facilitates, and participates in team meetings to review client progress and needs.● Participates in clinical seminars, supervision, CQI meetings, and training as assigned.● Submits completed documentation in a timely manner as directed for billing and CQI purposes.● Performs school-, home-, and community-based support services as needed or directed.● Seeks consultation and assistance when needed.● Additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Must meet one of the following minimum education and experience requirements: Bachelor's degree in a human services related field plus 1 year of experience working with SMI adults; or, Associate degree in a human services related field plus 2 years of experience working with SMI adults; or, High School Diploma or General Education Development plus 3 years of experience working with SMI adults; or, Meets the minimum requirements as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) by the State of New Mexico. Experience working with individuals impacted by mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. Obtained a Criminal Records Clearance (local, state, and FBI). Maintains certifications in First Aid and CPR. Maintains certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Demonstrated skills in teaching the curriculum to consumer family members. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the service area.
